almost a must win game for saints because this is our only league game for a while whilst many around us play 3 or 4 so we must nt lose ground when we do play.

Importnat now that all local folk involved with the club get working to explain just how important this fixture is to the club and the players. I remember going to a Saints pompey FA cUp tie in the 80s at the dell and you could tell that over half of the Pompey players just didnt realise how important the game was to the area!!!

it strikes me that PFC are being kept alive/afloat as long as they are in the Premiership... when/if they drop out they will go the way of administration and the rest.... the whole sorry business of takeover/counter takeover smells of the worst sort or Corup***** which sadly for football as a whole will rock the very foundations to its core! Many heads will roll and not just along the M27!!!

hmmm interesting read... we certainly need to hang on to a manager for a longer period than we have been able to for some time... a five year plan would do us nicely. But we must all be ready for those "lean periods" and not be so hasty as to call for the managers head.. it happens all to often in so many clubs!! We need stability at manager level like we had "in the old days" for a start. Just one negative for me... the call back for West Ham... the fact that he sees himself back there one day... thats a little niggling worry that he may up and leave for his very own "spiritual home" when WHU come knocking regardless of the 5 year plan (or am I being a bit too sensitive?) Our job, the clubs job is to make a niche for him so that he finds that pull a weaker one and saints too good a job to walk away from. I have been on record at being "underwhelmed" by AP's appointment and boy did I get some stick, but now, he gets my vote (for what it is worth) and he appears inextricably linked to the forward forces of the executive Markus/Nicola... so... we have turned the corner... and thanks to all concerned for that... we have our club back and some pride to boot. Merry Christmas saints fans... for once!
