  1. With Ramirez starting we haven't played 4-4-2 once. We did today because Ramirez was not fit enough after his trip to Uruguay but we still play 4-2-3-1. David got it spot on in the opening post (not that it was that hard), but Shaw and Cork have been very important. Cork protects the defense from midfielders running at them with pace and Shaw can actually stop pacey wingers from crossing.
  2. You post pictures, notbjust say the word... Ricky and Lambert don't seem to compliment each other too well.
  3. I agree, we should change to our yellow kit at half-time. The players clearly can't find each other since the white shirts are not blend in with the crowd. On a more serious note, if we make it to half-time without conceding we might turn it around. We've had quite a few matches where we were better after an awful first half.
  4. I've had English or Swedish every week but on Sunday the broadcast was in Danish. Since their were some problems with logging in before that I didn't try to do anything about it. but are you telling me you had English commentary for the Newcastle match?!
  5. Shaw How he, as a 17-year-old, just pushed Snodgrass off the ball several times was impressive.
  6. Dissapointing not to win at home and especially because they score from a goalkeeper error but in the end the performance from the whole team wasn't as good as the last two matches. The passing was sloppy, we left Ricky isolated at times and didn't create anything down the flanks. The only player who played better then last outing was Shaw. He was awesome. He owned Snodgrass, pushed him of the ball several times and was confident is possession. Clear man of the match for me.
  7. I agree, and not even because of the mistake. But the defense didn't trust him, they avoided passing the ball back to him and where frustrated when he didn't come out to claim the ball. I think its time for a change and if Boruc isn't ready then put Davis back in. At least he communicates well with his defense. Gazza is a goalkeeper with a lot of potential but he needs maturing. Its the most difficult position to master just because every mistake is so crucial. Give it time and he'll be an excellent goallie.
  8. I wonder what is going on there behind closed doors. If anything Bent is now available for a knockdown price because everyone knows he doesn't get on with the manager. If he had made the bench and perhaps a few sub appearances you could have gotten a few million more for him. Like Guly with us.
  9. Two draws means four teams disappointed which is what we want.
  10. McGoldrick is rumored to be wanted by Steve McLaren at Twente. Is the Dutch league really that awful nowadays that you can make the step up from League One (out on loan at Coventry) to the No.2 in the Dutch league. http://www.ad.nl/ad/nl/1443/FC-Twente/article/detail/3354310/2012/11/27/FC-Twente-aast-op-McGoldrick.dhtml
  11. He was offside when Clyne shot the ball and moved to wards the ball forcing Willaimson into heading it back.
  12. Can we talk about Lallana's goal which should have been called offside?
  13. Just looking at the goals again and we should be rather glad the first one wasn't waived off for offside. Clyne shot/cross was going wide and Lallana was ready to knock it in when Williamson headed it away but Lallana had drifted marginally offside (not entirely sure, but it looks that way) when Clyne took his shot. I guess that makes up for the decisions we didn't get.
  14. Tackling, controlling the ball and short-passing. The most basic skills in football but so essential, Cork is a master of all three.
  15. The backup we have is JWP but it might a tad early for him to be counted on as a regular performer. I think NA thought Davis could play as a DM but he's more of an attacking box-to-box player and when he plays as a DM the balance in the team is not there. But its not the most important area to strengthen. I'd say a LB and an new CB (I'm terrified that either Fonte or Yoshida get an injury suspension) are more important then a back-up DM at the moment.

  17. The ref is to blame for the penalties not being given and they weren't that clearcut, so I can forgive that. The linesman were just plain awful. The two throw-ins Newcastle got at the end of the match because the ball supposedly touched Lallana were ridiculous and Rodriguez just wasn't offside. But we won, so lets not put to much energy into the ref.
  18. Very good performance, they didn't have a shot on goal in the first half and only had 2 real chances all match. We do need to thank Gazza there because his stop on Anita and on that header from Santon(?) where absolute class. The best thing about today apart from the cleansheet is the amount of chances we created, we should have had at least 4. That brings me to the negative, we need to take our chances better, today Newcastle were gash and didn't make us pay but on another day this becomes another Swansea.
  19. We're a bit flat, giving the ball away to easy. Good save from Gazza there.
  20. Ameobi on for Ferguson, Newcastle playing 4-3-3?
  21. A few weeks ago you slated Fox after a match in which he was decent, many defended his performance in THAT match. Nobody was saying that he was Premier League material.
  22. Saints 6 shots on target 5 shots off target Newcastle 0 shots on target 1 shot off target Telling stats, Newcastle haven't created anything.
  23. Newcastle are all over the place. Time for a second goal!
  24. Seriously, Danish commentary on Viaplay. I guess that works for you guys in Skåne...
  25. Not a good start, sloppy passing and we're giving them too much time on the ball. Plus, my online Premier League subscription is not working. ****!
