  1. lol - not a chance we'll sign him, can't see Nigel going after a player that's got himself into a bit of bother. Plus it's hearsay on the Sheff Utd forum, hardly a source of any substance.
  2. Definitely Steve's cum face
  3. Good thread. That's the beauty of the championship, anyone can beat anyone else. I remember last season QPR getting an absolute hiding from Sc*nthorpe (4-1 I believe), but they still went up.
  4. “@liamtrevatt: @stief87 What would you rather have, a large penis on your forehead, or giant lobster claws for hands?” both lol
  5. Absolutely, 100% agreed. We can talk about "there's not much monetary difference between coming first and second" - but it's this kind of statement that has been ruining football. Money talks, why we have such an ugly game these days.
  6. This. They'd be bonkers not to sell him if they're losing that much money per year, especially if someone's offering a few million quid.....
  7. This story doesn't shock me at all. I went to Swansea university, and used to goto the odd Swansea game, City came down one game (this was a good 10-11 years ago), and just smashed up a few pubs in town, and when I say smashed up, I mean properly smashed up and did a number on. Idiots, and I hope you're both ok. No idea why people can't just enjoy their football, and enjoy a bit of banter with away fans without it getting f***ing stupid.
  8. I agree, I don't want to see us hoof it for the sake of it either. However, sometimes a good hoof out of the defence reduces pressure immeasurably. Sometimes we actually try and pass it for the sake of it too. But, we're top for a reason, so perhaps I should stop bloody moaning
  9. It does my nut, because usually it does put us under pressure. We've already conceded a horrible goal from it, a goal which actually caused one of our losses at Cardiff. I admire our philosophy of doing as much as we can to keep possession, but I do wish we'd just welly it more (in general) sometimes.
  10. It was probably the most amazing dump I've ever had, just fell out of me and I got there just in time. Best. Dump. Ever!
  11. Yeah, some, one game apparently.
  12. What does a "youth loan" mean exactly? We're loaning out a youthful player? lol
  13. Speak for yourself, I'd rather score fewer goals, but with more from outside the area. It's quality, not quantity. Honest.
  14. At the start of this season, I said he wasn't good enough for the Championship, but at this present time he's top scorer by 3 clear goals. I'm more than happy to be proved wrong again.
  15. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2521342,00.html Absolutely love the way Adkins describes things sometimes: "David has had a little scenario with his groin so we are settling that down....." Makes his sound like he's jammed it in the door or something. Any guesses (comedy only) as to what the little scenario may have been?
  16. I personally don't consider them a "south coast rival". Bournemouth are just about there, P*mpey, of course, but Brighton? There's a good 60 miles between the two cities and no real reason for a rivalry, as far as i'm concerned
  17. He's just come onto the pitch. A livewire apparently.
  18. Consider yourself humoured! I imagine that, as a direct consequence of what was said above, many clubs don't bother putting resources into scouting these countries, certainly not directly, anyway.
  19. Assume you don't include Egypt in your assessment...... The reason is simple - the East side of Africa is much, much less developed than the Western side. Simple case of fewer opportunities for people that live there, football leagues aren't developed etc. As an aside, how is this Saints related?
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15682997.stm 5-year plan? Young manager? Hmmmm......
  21. Didn't help that for most of the time here, he was under managers that demanded a good work ethic of players all over the pitch. He didn't have that good work ethich, which is why he never flourished under any manager here. Good players need the right environment to flourish in (e.g. Ibrahimovic wasn't too great at Barca, but impresses in Italy), and his clearly wasn't here. He's spent all of his career in Sweden, apart from his stint here - probably homesick or very unsettled here.
  22. Personally, I won't believe until the final whistle of the final game of the season. Too many times have clubs gone steaming ahead in the Championship (Cardiff, anyone?) to mess it up. Having been a Saints fan all my life, you have a natural pessimism when it comes to football! Having said that, Adkins has instilled incredible character about the team - we're the only team in the championship to have not dropped a point after taking the lead. We're top on merit, we've not lost to any of the "big boys" leading the promotion chase, and we've got a great manager and great team. A couple of astute signings in the January window could go a long way to determining how we do the latter half of the season....
  23. That's nothing. I was in the audience for soccer Am a few years back and Razor was on. After the show we all went to the pub for a few pints, I counted he had seven before driving home. lol
  24. Ironic that we rejected the bod that eventually took them over....
  25. My favourite was actually fairly recently at the West Ham game. Chap who sits in front of us turns up late, rushes up the steps and says "Oh, why on earth is Bialkowski in goal???" before yelling abuse at Adkins for making a poor choice in such a big game. When he calmed down, I pointed out he was looking at Manuel Almunia. lol
