  1. If it's anything like an iPhone, it's quite straight forward. As has already been mentioned, you can get kits from eBay which include a screen and all the tools you need to take it apart. Check YouTube for step by step dismantling videos.
  2. I guess you've come across this already? http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/peter-canton/6/235/742
  3. We should invite the NFL over for an exhibition match a few days beforehand.
  4. Do you think mightysaints will get a visit from the local constabulary for starting this thread?
  5. I don't know which CPU you have in mind, but do you realise that dual core is not the same a Core2 Duo?
  6. Agreed and . Absolutely gutted they've split. Most people are probably more familiar with .
  7. "There's no quick way down." I can think of one method!
  8. Overwrite the data with zeros. I believe some clever bods have still managed to recover data from the latent magnetic signature after one overwrite, but it's just a question of whether they'd bother for the sake of some porn. To be on the safe side, you could follow that by filling it with ones, then zeroes, then ones,... seven passes should do the trick.
  9. To be fair, you're never going to get a shot like that without a tripod and a long exposure and you're going to have the luxury of neither in a plane.
  10. Is there such a thing, unless you're talking about a Sigma, Tokina, Tamron, etc.? Canon have recently released an EF-S 55-250mm which apparently isn't too bad for the price. The problem with it is being an EF-S mount is it won't work with a sensor larger than APS-C should you want to upgrade your body.
  11. Shutter lag on both is 0.44s. However, there are only three lenses available for it so far. If you want the widest range of lenses and accessories, look at Canon and Nikon. My advice would be to look at the secondhand market. Pretty much my entire kitbag has been pre-owned.
  12. ...called Sam Hitchcoćk.
  13. I remember this as it was taken at the Eagle on a matchday. I think he was a jockey acquaintance of Channon junior.
  14. That is the fastest shutter speed (shortest time) it is capable of capturing. 1/3200s is plenty fast enough for any normal photography but might not be quick enough for capturing a bullet smashing into an apple for example. To freeze a moving football at a player's feet, 1/500 is normally fast enough. This shot was taken at 1/500s. This Spitfire was captured at 1/640s and there's a little bit of blur on the propellers which isn't a bad thing. Motorsports photography thrives on slowing the shutter speed to install a sense of movement and speed. This was taken at 1/125s and the camera panned from left to right to follow the hovercraft to keep it sharp whilst blurring the track. What you really have a problem with on most compact cameras is shutter lag, which is the delay from pressing the button to the time it actually takes the picture. It some models, it can take half a second or longer, by which time the action could be long gone. To give you an idea of how this compares to a top DSLR, Canon's latest 1-series model is ready to shoot 0.1s after powering on and has a shutter lag in the region of 50milliseconds.
  15. Because your auction title doesn't include "K110". It's "K110D". eBay's search feature can be very picky when it wants, but conversely it'll now find auctions which include common misspellings such as "Cannon" when looking for "Canon" which is a shame because you'd pick up the occasional bargain with that.
  16. Given that he could have shot her Dad, I'd say she got off lightly. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/mp/7729292/groom-accidentally-kills-3-at-wedding/
  17. Because "going home and putting on the telly instead" wasn't an option.
  18. It's known as an Invitation To Treat.
  19. You mean his alibi? All it is says to me is that he was planning to shoot his ex- many months ago and was looking to use this to get his sentence reduced on grounds of being a fruitloop.
  20. I'm close to getting my pictures from the British GP online. The 2009 race that is.
  21. So it's a completely different person and the article happens to quote them them but isn't based on their quote?
