Not overly bothered, think Shaw and Fox are decent enough LBs.
-
He signed yesterday evening. Why would he say his goodbyes on Twitter last night if he hadn't signed yet...
-
Still think we need 2 CB's, 2 GKs, 1 RMF and 1 LMF personally.
-
Would've thought that's the most sensible solution to the problem.

Not believing it until it's on the OS. Knowing us we'll probably f**k it up.

I'm not panicking yet. But if we don't sign anyone else between now and August 31st then we'll almost definitely go straight back down. And at the moment everything is extremely quiet on the transfer front, I know that's the way Cortese/Nigel like it so I suppose I shouldn't expect to hear much but it's just bitterly dissappointing seeing Reading/QPR signing decent players left right and centre with negotiations only taking 1-2 weeks at most, and we can't sign someone until we've been in negotiations with them for 3-4 weeks at least, its just ridiculous. Said the same thing last season and I'm in no doubt that if we'd signed 1/2 CBs and possibly an extra CMF this time last year we wouldn't of had the blips we had in November and January with our injury worries and finished the season as Champions rather than runners-up. Seriously think the whole transfer policy/situation needs to be seriously looked at as there's no way a player's transfer should take 4-6 weeks every single time. Especially (in Buttner's case) 4 weeks after we agreed a few with his parent club, its ridiculous when Reading can knock out a deal in 1-2 weeks with ease, why can't we?! -
Is this New ST's I presume and not renewals?
-
That Sky Sports Clyne story can't be true. We've only been negotiating this deal fo 3/4 days, it'll be at least a month before he actually signs.

Again thanks for the advice guys. Think I was erring towards a Specialized (spending a bit more £££'s to get the Secteur or Allez Sport Compact), but from what you've all said I think I'm being taken in by the brand rather than what I'll feel comfortable with. Think I'm gonna go to my LBS at the weekend and just try out some and see how they feel.

Thanks again, I didn't know any of that before. Anyone have any advice on SPD Shoes/Pedals, will I benefit from having the added grip on the pedals with them on my long cycle ride, or will traditional 'strap-in' pedals suffice?

Well it's almost a month to go until the start of our PL campaign and we still need: 2 GKs/1 RMF, 1LB, 1RB and 2 CBs... -
Been reading your blog with interest in recent weeks, as the training regime I'm undertaking in a few weeks time is similar (for the first 16 weeks anyway), will try and donate in the next couple of days. Thanks for the advice, I have a budget of upto £600, so should get something relatively decent for that. Current possible choices are the Giant Defy 4 Compact, Giant Defy 5 Compact, Giant Defy 5 triple, Specialized Allez, Specialized Allez Triple or the Norco Valence A3 Triple. Finding it hard to get reviews for bikes unlike films/games/cars etc. so hard to get definitive opinions on which bikes best for me as a novice, and new to road bikes altogether.

Was our Number 8 in the second match (V Arsenal) Stephens? -
Got the away kit yesterday. Think it looks really smart, and is probably the best away shirt I've seen unveiled so far in the Prem this season. The Black GK kit Kelvin was wearing yesterday was nice, not a fan of the Tommy Forecast Purple atall

I'll jump around with joy if this signing comes off, think it'll be an awesome signing of the very highest calibre. Can't see us wrapping it up so soon though, we usually take 2-3 weeks to get someone signed, just look at the Buttner saga!

Thanks for the advice, as I've just sold my mountain bike I think I'm gonna use the cash to get either a hybrid or a road bike (probably a road bike), as I need to cover some serious miles. Thanks for the advice, I've always thought I'll need a road bike. I went into a cycle shop near me today and the guy in there recommended me a Hybrid but I've always been sceptical. I have to cover 225 miles in 3 days, so I'm sceptical a hybrid will be up to the task. Think a Road bike is the way to go for me, but you get less bang for your buck I suppose.
-
Going to get into Cycling myself now. Doing a long cycle ride next July so need to get training. Haven't ridden a bike in 5 years, and never ridden a road bike! Dr Who? Can I ask what kind of bike you have, did you go for a Hybrid or a Road Bike?
