Saints Foundation running the Cycle Ride from St. Marys to the Madejski Stadium in Reading on 6th April. £50 registration fee + £350 sponsorship raised. Route is 52 miles long. I'm still interested in doing this, but the problem is I can only really ask friends/family to sponsor me on one BIG charity ride next year and I'd rather do one of 300/400 miles over 3/4/5 days and raise more money than just do 52 miles and raise £350, so may have to give this a miss for 2013 and maybe do it in 2014.

Think we'll lose 6-0 but it'll be a good(ish) day out nonetheless

I've just booked up to do the South Downs Sportive on the 21st October if anyone's interested in doing that on here? It starts and finishes in Chichester so not far from Soton?

Not a great start for the Saints 0-2 after 2 very winnable games...next up Kansas City on Sunday (who we should OWN) and away to Green Bay the week after which should be hella tough to say the least! I'm still confident that we'll reach the play-offs but I'm just hoping the team gel before the next tough game against the Packers otherwise I fear we could get well and truly owned at Lambeau Hope you're ready for a LOOOOONG season then, the Jags are f'ing terrible.

My ticket just says 'Visitors Lower' Does that mean Paddock or Lower Bullens?

I was a proud iPhone user until July this year. Had the 3g, 4 and 4s since March 2009 and switched to a Galaxy S3 in July. Absolutely amazing phone, does exactly what my 4S did and more, love the extra screen size and AMOLED display. Also love how fast and responsive it is compared to my 4s and how much longer the battery lasts. Highly recommended by me for anyone considering upgrading/switching from their current phones

We lost the first 5 games years ago (97/98?) and stayed up.

I'm sorry Kelv, you've been a great servent for the club over the past 6 years or so, but you are just not good enough for the PL. You've always looked a bit shakey, not been brilliant on long-range shots, or with shots low at your near post...the PL has only amplified your inefficiencies and you must kindly f off and make way for Gazza or a new GK to come on and replace you.

Good luck tomorrow!

TV Fixtures - Next batch (December onwards)?
BlakeySFC replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I'm 99% sure that all the PL games on Sky/ESPN have been assigned already through until the end of December 2012. I believe the next 3 months (January, February and March) of TV fixtures are announced in Mid-December. I'd say you'll be fine to book those rail tickets. -
Got mine through the post today

Full allocation is 3,000 I think, so seems we've only been given/wanted 1,800.
-
Huge congratulations on raising the money, hope your cycle ride goes ok in a couple of weeks time. I'm sure you'll both ace it

A Surprisingly impartial and well-written article from a skate

I don't really care.

I got mine through the post almost 2 weeks ago.

I've been watching it every day its been on. Been a truly great Vuelta for me, love the battles between Valverde, Contador, Rodriguez and Froome in the last 20/30kms of stages. Wish Froome would still be in there with a chance of winning it but the last few days he's just looked knackered and can't keep up wth Contador & co.

Personally don't think you could drop Puncheon after the amazing game he played against United. I'd go with: Lallana Lambert Puncheon Ward-Prowse Morgan Davis Fox Hooiveld Yoshida Clyne Gazzaniga Subs: JRod, Fonte, Chappers, Mayuka, Ramirez, Richardson, Davis 3-1 Saints YELLOWS!
-
Exactly. We've hardly been slaughtered 4/5-0 by City and United like most people thought we would. And we hardly got our arse handed to us by Wigan either, the game should've been a draw, Wigan had 2 shots on target and scored both. If by 10 games time we still haven't got a win then I'll start to worry slightly, but we always start slowly, I have faith in Adkins, and the majority of the players (Fonte and Fox aside) lets give it a bloody good go, if we go down, we go down, its not the end of the world.

Great post mate, and well said. It would've been a bonus getting any points out of United/City and we should've got a point at least out of Wigan. So early in the season its FAR too early to get worried about anything yet, still 105 points to play for. Spurs, Liverpool, QPR etc. are only 1 point above us.

He better had otherwise we're f****d

Jason Puncheon "does not cut the mustard" for me
BlakeySFC replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
Jason, Morgan, Adam and Rickie were absolutely amazing today. Steve Davis was awesome too. Still think Kelvin isn't good enough for the Prem -
Blimey, get well soon.
