  1. Saints used to own a house in Ethelburt Avenue, Swaythling. When I was a kid Ken Wimshurst lived there and he was followed in 67 by Eric Martin. My mate lived opposite and we would take Eric's Old English Sheepdog for walks.
  2. Another duck for Jimmy. Out 3rd ball after being put in.
  3. Im afraid the return of Rooney, Wellbeck and Sturridge will never make Kyle Walker an international footballer. He reminded me of the dark days of Phil Neville playing right-back under Keegan. Best and probably only laugh last night was when the idiot Townsend said "Defending is not his strong point."
  4. Only 9 years too early. He was at Stoke at the time. Then Forest in 1977 before us.
  5. Latest new signing for next season announced. http://www.ageasbowl.com/news/Barry-Manilow-Comes-to-The-Ageas-Bowl
  6. It was live on Sky as their Saturday lunchtime game (hence why we lost) and Andre Marriner, this Sundays ref, was in charge and gave the pen right at the end of the first half.
  7. You've been "over there" far too long, it would appear.
  8. Managed?
  9. Not relevant to the discussion of tonight's England Senior Team. Nice troll attempt though, Jamie.
  10. I bet he wishes he hadn't Romed out of his area.
  11. Who gives a toss about the future? (Other than Greg Dyke. Apparently.) Its all about this season. Qualifying and then the World Cup. Gerrard and Lampard are hardly the future.
  12. In life. He went to Mansbridge Junior school.
  13. We are using our 200k to pay Billy Sharp's wages.
  14. Sorry. Had to go to home page to find link. Great stuff.
  15. Too late.
  16. He didn't fancy John Burridge's.
  17. Its been a good couple of days for Tadanari Lee.
  18. Were you hoping to get a game for Farnborough? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/farnborough-fc-field-messi-beckham-2160943
  19. I've read some complete rubbish on here at times (usually posted by Glasgow Saint) but this is right up there with the very best. Congratulations.
  20. Our mate that got our Barnsley tickets, tried to get our customer numbers recorded but was told this wasn't necessary. Suitably narked I called in at the T/O before we left for the match to get this changed. I was told that the "loyalty point system" didn't apply to League Cup games and she couldn't add it to our purchase history. I asked her why it was specifically mentioned in the Official Site. She had no idea. Now it gets trotted out again. 20 points for this one! Wow!! Compared to only 15 for an away game in Barnsley?? Yet all away games are still sold on the number of away games attended (if you are lucky and the system hasn't gone to sh it again). They haven't got a fecking clue, have they?
  21. When did Toni Jimenez bust his foot/ankle and has he borrowed The Don's boot?
  22. He was called in to commentate on the classic Barbarians v all Blacks match in 1973 as Bill McLaren had been taken ill. I know the words of "the try" off by heart. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/23878649 Sport on 4 (Radio 4) on Saturday mornings in the 70s and 80s was compulsory listening. He was also one of the original captains on Question of Sport.
  23. I have to plan my wardrobe accordingly. Musn't disappoint Turkish.
  24. Couldn't you go 90 minutes without having to stuff your fat face?
