Essex captain, James Foster, given a 2 match ban after refusing to leave the ground after being given out at The Oval a couple of weeks ago. He saw the replay on the big screen and spent several seconds pointing at it and shouting at the umpires. Seems he has got off rather lightly, especially as he is the captain and is responsible for his sides behaviour. Anyhow, an immediate ban presumes he will miss tonights match (along with the rain, hopefully).

Another easy win. Middlesex 121-9 after being 61-1. Afridi 3-16. Hants 122-3 in 17 with Adams 38* and partnerships with Lumb, Vince and Ervine. I wouldnt put any money on that. 6 weeks and counting in Lodge Rd. Just a shame that the week they went back, after a bank holiday, the Friday collection was due on a Saturday and never occurred.
