Pothas has had an appendix op and will be out for 2-3 weeks. Bates in team tonight.

Ditto Nick Holmes.

Essex captain, James Foster, given a 2 match ban after refusing to leave the ground after being given out at The Oval a couple of weeks ago. He saw the replay on the big screen and spent several seconds pointing at it and shouting at the umpires. Seems he has got off rather lightly, especially as he is the captain and is responsible for his sides behaviour. Anyhow, an immediate ban presumes he will miss tonights match (along with the rain, hopefully).

The South African tennis player who lost to Boris Becker in the Wimbledon Final 1985? Or the Zimbabwean cricketer who played for Gloucestershire?

I thought you were suggesting a new occupation for FF, as he is now on the breadline.

Another easy win. Middlesex 121-9 after being 61-1. Afridi 3-16. Hants 122-3 in 17 with Adams 38* and partnerships with Lumb, Vince and Ervine. This was at Uxbridge which is a half decent club ground. In the 9th season of 20/20 we have never had a game at Lords. Very peculiar! Also Somerset lost to Glos, so 4 points clear. Next Friday away at The Oval. 6.40 start. I hope to see a lot of you there.

I'm already queueing. Where are all those impatient bar stewards. I thought it would be bedlam down here.

What were you protesting about? The fact that they hadn't spent any money on it? -
I wouldnt put any money on that. 6 weeks and counting in Lodge Rd. Just a shame that the week they went back, after a bank holiday, the Friday collection was due on a Saturday and never occurred. But that was a month ago. Visitors to our fair city must be well impressed as they swerve to avoid the foxes and rats that are dining well round here.

Ridiculous argument. If they were playing now, they would be prevented by their respective boards of playing hardly any County Cricket. Tahir would gladly of played for us last year, but his commitment to South Africa made us look elsewhere. By the time he became available it was too late. Hence, Warwickshire signed him. He was always coming here this season and, hopefully, for years to come. Also, Greenidge was brought up locally, (Berkshire) and was eligible to play for England, when he started. By the rules at the time he never counted as an overseas player

And yet you still fail to answer the overriding question. What did you find amusing?
-
May be on TV. Sky have only announced their games on the opening weekend, so far.

What has Jose Fonte got to do with Southampton?

Or a parent.

Beat them on their last 2 visits here. 1-0 both times. -
Cant see "Where's Paradise?" catching on.

It obviously dosent bring on the amount of wrist-slitting that a Saints defeat does. I was thoroughly pis sed off, but as I wasnt there, I cant really comment on individual performances.
