Coppell must be the mysterious 3rd bidder. thats why he's resigned.
-
The legend of Dougal v Sammy. I held the great mans watch at WHL whilst it all kicked off. League cup 68-69. I was 10.

Do you know my mate Smiffy? Ardent Saints fan, OT and long time Brentwood resident.
-
3rd division standard?

But it all goes back to getting relegated under his enlightend chairmanship. If we had still been in the prem in Jan 2006, Theo would have signed a new contract for us and his future value to us, both playing-wise and financial, would have risen immesurably. Mind you, he might not have liked Sir Clive and Simon Clifford.

Has he signed yet? -
Are those 2 new birds who started since I left? Do I guess your source to be your "new best friend."

Dont think so, Matey. CB Fry (world long jump record holder and almost King of Albania) died in 1956. TMS started a year later. They were celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2007 also against the Windies.

I'm missing Franchise FC, Scunny, Tranmere. Walsall, Yeovil, Hartlepool, Wycombe and Exeter. Plus Shrewsbury if they come up (Rochdale lost on Sunday). Been to the old grounds at Huddersfield, Bristol Rovers, Colchester (still gives me nightmares) and Brighton. We might also find some Div 4 grounds if we have a run in the JPT.

A bit harsh on Boyer who didnt leave to better himself. He was sold as we already had Keegan, Channon and George. But more relevently Steve Moran was just getting a regular game. Also Boyer wanted to rejoin John Bond who he had played for at Bournemouth and Norwich.

Saw us lose there 1-0 in 75-76, but couldnt afford the next season's game and missed us winning 6-0. Hope we don't play them in the final game, as they have made a habit of winning it over the past few years. This and Hartlepool better not be midweek games.

Following Solent Stars (not the Lowe loving numpty on here) at the same time as Saints in the early eighties, was a wonderful time. The 1st British team to win a European Cup match and finals at Wembley and The Albert Hall. Happy days.

Burnley (away) were the best side I've seen all season. Were robbed by Old saggy Twitch in the league cup S/F, so I'm glad they are 2-0 up. Both good goals Bye,bye Coppell?

Didn't see you putting your hand in your pocket, Tightwad!! If you mean the lino on the near touchline in the 2nd half, I think he works at Sport Solent so I can have a (ahem) word with him when I'm next in there.:smt075 -

I am now officially an "Uberfan". Well played the Red & Whites for a storming comeback. Phil looked more stylish than Woote. As for Nickh.... Sturrock springs to mind. -
What does your wife do with a bottle of wine that could be shown on ITV before the watershed?

I'm going saturday. All over by then, unless the last pair can avoid the follow-on.

Played for Didcot at AFC Totton last week. They will now be at the same level as Bognor, who went down, next season.
