Why Saints fans got arrested against Brighton.
John B replied to PhilippineSaint's topic in The Saints
What matters is having a society where people are not discriminated against and the wrong doers are apprehended -
Seems to be run exactly the same way as when Lowe was Chairman
-
Well said Norm Lucas is only 22 and improving
-
I heard from somebody at St Mary's that we did offer £2m for LJ just before the end of the loan period but on the monday before the loan he was told that the move was off. At about the same time I was told there was a Japanese player being shown round St Mary's So I tend to think that there will be no other strikers coming in But I still think we need another CB
-
We were definitely interested in him but according to people who know him he is off to Middlesboro
-
The fidfteen regulars did incredibly well early on, but the hectic schedule has really caught up with the team recently and the club did not invest enough in the summer for automatic promotion. Perhaps the club was not expecting promotion this season
-
So how do think newspapers operate in the age of the internet looking on web sites I would have http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/Southampton
-
But not a very good way to treat a player I would have thought It maybe a reason why players do not want to come here if they think SFC do not treat their players well
-
Apparently Lucas is on £9k at Coventry £10K next year but is off to Middlesboro
-
Southampton 1976 Cup 1978 Promotion
-
League and Cup Double perhaps for the Saints
-
How do know what Hooper is worth. We got £12m for OXO and he played in League 1 If SFC do not pay what you consider insane fees I doubt they will progress
-
Apart from Fonte who have we ever signed in the window who has been any good. not many i would have thought
-
Sorry as I could not remember how to spell Liebherr I put Cortese and his chums instead but agree with your point. By the way not sure his transfer policy is much different from Lowe's but is much different from that was expected for a club owned by Billionaires
-
Again you show little understanding of football sometimes teams do not play well and lose games like Arsenal did at the beginning of the season Man U now and Southampton early last season. So please wind your neck in and see what happens at St Mary's apparently we have a five year plan to get to the PL we are only in year three and may have no more money this year to enhance the team which has performed better than any of us could have expected. It is not our club it belongs to Cortese and his chums and they do what they want to but being top of the League for such a long time is a fine achievement and promotion is still a reasonable probability
-
Cortese is talking through his backside about Saints and the CL
-
He may came on in the 110th minute to score the goal and made another substitute appearance in that tournament
-
Eight Points from Eight Games may represent a crumbling edifice but lets decide that after the next five league games
-
The last time I saw Fonte play against Hull he was outstanding. If he had been playing in similar form against Bristol City we would probably have won
-
I dont think they will be relegated
-
It was a red card as Lambert did not take part in the remainder of the game
-
I suggest that you just watch him he does nothing with the ball that is the point I am making
-
I am surprised that people have not noticed Martin's inability to use the ball in effective way It is not nasty criticism just what I have noticed He is OK defensively but his distribution is poor which does not allow the team to counter attack Just watch him and you may change your mind
-
The Ref had a better sight of the James incident than me and I could see the ball was on the line

Although the team has done overall extremely well and it is great saying Southampton are top of the Championship 8 points from 21 is not particularly good. I doubt if we will not be in the top six by the end of the season but being in the top 2 is not a certainty but with other top teams not consistently winning there is always a chance. I dont recall exactly where we were this time last year but I dont think we were in the top 2 but we were playing well getting points and I was very confident promotion would be achieved. We may very well suceed in promotion but the team must improve and we have some hard away games coming up as well as Leicester and Cardiff at home. We have so far had the rub of the green with regard to injuries but with Fonte and Chaplow out it shows how performance can be affected without key players.
