Sanctimonious twaddle
-
From the comments on here and having spoken to people who went to the match he was OK but not outstanding. However I was hoping for something better and still feel we should have spent the apparent £1.8m that we paid for Fox on a really good young CB
-
But was he good as Seaborne?
-
Surely 3 2 is a usually a better game than 1 0
-
Seems a bit of an overaction I would have thought
-
If we were still at the Dell, where would be in the leagues?

Dont think Dan Seaborne will play and Dan Harding possibly otherwise I agree
-
I have no idea some anywhere in the top half I would have thought

Yes you are of course right because not many people respect others view and most cannot make a reasoned argument and negative in most cases is in fact having a different view. How being worried whether the new Dutch bloke is up to standard is negative I dont know surely it is the opposite He may well be what is required but at the moment there is little evidence to suggest that he is - only time will tell However if we had signed Gorkiss or Jemel where there is lots of evidence that they would be very welcome
-
seems a replacement for Pulis http://www.monthehoops.co.uk/showthread.php?t=11932&page=2 But time will tell hope he succeeds
-
As all three had medicals I would have thought that the finances had been resolved I understand that Nigel A is not at all happy with the situation and the club is losing credability with so many in the football world
-
Unfortunately the club does not agree with you as it was trying to get in a top class striker and experencied CB but was that all show? What we have got is the team which was runner up in League 1 plus Cork plus another 2 better LBs when we had already and extended the contract of another. We obviously have lost OXO but replaced him with De Ridder hardly the actions of team pressing hard for promotion like some other clubs in the League - people may think they are stupid spending vast somes of money but at least they are being positive and giving it a go When we were taken over by ML a billionaire most of us were no doubt expecting loads of money to be spent on new players and as Dell Days was saying we were the Man City of League 1 we are certainly not the Man City of the Championship but very much like the Lowe years of Southampton in the PL However I dont think we are ready for promotion this season so of consolidation is fine by me Onr point of interest to me is what is going to happen to the OXO money as if it is not spent it will be probably taxed
-
Totally agree he must be in the top 100 English CBs yet he gets slagged off by so many Whether he develpos into a PL CB only time and hardwork will tell
-
Yes I would imagine Pardew thinks it was a great decision:lol:
-
So how come Gorkiss passed a medical after being offered terms
-
FF is a decent bloke a Saints supporter through and through but was only posting something which I for one was not aware of that is the the purpose of a forum. It is not to praise every action of the club and its management

12 million profit in the bank, now let's do something with it.

So what is the point? How are the club going to get to the PL and stay there without spending loads of dosh? -

I dont understand why people are worried how much we pay for players it is not our money and the owners have enough. But I do agree with the rest of your post -
I think that is an extremely niave comment ****ing Football Clubs off is not a good idea in the long run for SFC
-
So why post rubbish
-
Yes quite agree I think we need to be buying players who are good enough to develop into PL players Not sure about that QPR player either. This season has shown how important it is to have a settled confident team with players capable of playing at higher level than previous
-
Rodrigues was very quick I remember him playing for Cardiff in 1962 0r 63 keeping up with Sydenham

I think Huxford was Captain before Knapp arrived from Leicester
