  1. I am interested to know why he has chosen this team but I doubt we would have beaten Spurs with a different one lets hope we beat Newcastle Livra and Broja need rests Adams Stephens Lynaco are not available Tella has had Covid The only forwards are Long and Armstrong so what choice does he really have
  2. You are talking nonsense how could he check on McCarthy if he did not realise he was injured it was McCarthy's responsibility to tell the bench he was injured Most of our problems are down to individual errors by our players and the lack of quality of our strikers in front of goal against top teams With the squad we have 20 points is reasonable total at this stage of the season no doubt with better players we would be higher in the league
  3. What was wrong with the tactics that day we seemed in control of the game Over the years we have held on to 1 0 leads like most other team Surely it was Jwp's error which led to Brighton scoring
  4. Quite often it is not his fault it is just down to enforced errors by our players like JWP's error in injury time earlier in the month. If we had better consistent players no doubt are results would be better

    Adam Armstrong

I would have Our srikers are going to take us down it is not their fault we just do not have any money to invest in top class strikers
  6. And most of the Posters on this Forum too
  7. Well he was not on pitch doing stupid things and he has not got a top PL striker like Ings to score goals and the clubs does not believe in getting in experienced players to assist the young players. He could have brought on Stephens I suppose but I felt we doing OK for 95 mins but I doubt we can stay up with our current strike force. I probably bore everyone by saying that our current strike force of Armstrong Adams Broja and Long is the worst strike force I have seen whilst supporting the Saints for the last 60 years Some say our top prority is a GK and getting rid of Ralph but without a consistent goal scorer we are in real trouble because the whole team can hardly be relaxed defending a 1 0 lead for the last 15 mins
  8. Whats it got to do with the manager the Players are to blame for this
  9. Yes I think Broja is going to be a really good striker but at the moment he finished article but probably will play on Saturday but football is a team game and we just do not have experienced PL consistent front players unlike Leicester.
  10. I agree he saw the shot late as he unsighted for the first goal according to the commentary onAmazon We did not win because Tella Adams and Armstrong are not consistent and they make mistakes To win matches regularly we need better players in the forward positions the current ones are hardly in the Tadic Pelle Mane Lambert Lallana Ings mode of player are they
  11. I agree a pretty ridiculous formation
  12. Unable to find anyone else List of Hampshire County Cricket Club first-class players - Wikipedia
  13. That season was the first I went to nearly all of the home games The 3 3 draw was fantastic so many people there was unable to get to the Milton Road End and got pushed in the standing area under the East Stand Very disappointed to be losing 3 0 until I think it was 16 mins from the end when George Kirby scored and then David Burnside scored with 2 mins or so remaining with a left footshot after a Forest own goal Extra time was an anticlimax but the second replay at White Hart Lane was far from that my first away game with so many Saints supporters we won 5 0. That game was probably the most dominant display I have seen Saints play and the atmosphere was tremendous I will always remember that game
  14. I think it is a good time to be playing Villa hopefully we can score a couple of goals and win
  15. I was not discussing Bournemouth I was suggesting that Scott Parker maybe a decent manager in the making I think he could do well with better players
  16. I think Scott Parker may well be a really good manager in a couple of years time and I would prefer him to Howe Bournemouth are playing good football at the moment and are well out in front in the Championship
  17. It may not be irrational but it is pretty stupid not to play Broja if he is scoring goals and Armstrong is not. It took Adams quite a time to score in the PL and he is hardly prolific but he has proved he can score ten or so goals a season Armstrong as yet has not but of course may well do so in the future. We need to score more goals as we should have scored more yesterday and if Ralph is confident Broja will score goals I fully expect him to play
  18. You do not seem to have any understanding of football Saints played quite well yesterday and would have won if Redmond and Walcott had scored with easyish chances
  19. Go on explain to me how a new manager would stop players missing what you percieve to be easy goals. Every team that has ever played has missed easy chances in all kinds of sports including myself and probably you that is why they are called chances
  20. I do not really understand how bringing in another manager will stop players making individual errors which is the main cause of why we ldo not win some games but that is football I have never rated Walcott but with S Armstrongnot fully fit and JWP suspended there were hardly any stand out replacements who could have played yesterday The theme on here seems to be that the players not picked are bound to be better than the ones chosen and substitutes are going to change the dynamics of the game when they come on The PL is one of the strongest leagues in the world and other teams appear have some really good players so at the moment we can moan about our players but supporting them is really our only option I would have thought

    Nigel Adkins

Yes I realise that but having followed Saints for 60 years I do not think he was particularly special he did a good job but had more financial support behind him than at any other time in those 60 years. Getting to the Top flight in 1966 and 1978 felt so different

    Nigel Adkins

Yes we did feel for him but it was the right decision he was never going to succeed as Manager in the PL All the positivity is based on emotion not reality in my opinion

    Nigel Adkins

He did well at SFC but it was a lot easier to gain promotions when money was no object and we had a great squad compared to today where we have an average squad and no money

Pardew got in some really good players never understood why he was sacked
