  1. I thought Crouch would helped us to avoid administration but in the end he did not. Barclay's did suggest there were problems with the main shareholders if I recall
  2. Surely you are being a little critical with the help of hindsight. If an agreement with Barclays was made for £5 Million overdraft when Lowe/Wilde took over it would be very difficult to reduce the overdraft in October when the Transfer window had closed. The problem was compounded by the inability to raise any money from Transfer sales which I think Lowe was aware of as he hinted that the cupboard was bare I would have thought it was very unlikely that administration could be avoided after Barclay's had moved the goal post apparently in October. If the overdraft facilities had not changed we currently may not be in administration
  3. Fulham may have paid them more I dont know but surely it was not a foregone conclusion that would come as their wage demands may have caused serious problems within the Squad. To non Saint's Fans it was unlikely that the club would be in Europe regularly as it was our first venture in over twenty years
  4. There are a couple of points I would like to raise in this debate. Firstly I think spending money on the Academy was a good idea as one of the reasons we had to buy lots of second rate players was that Apart from Bridge none of our home produced players were coming through like they were in the past are were perceived as likely to be more loyal. The second point is how do we know Saha and Malbranque wanted to come to SFC anyway and how were their wages to be paid
  5. Surely then the football club will be in administration too if we dont get somebody to buy
  6. I think you are quite correct Rover Alpine appears to be a complete and utter whinger
  7. You would have thought so but as I said I doubt there is any planning for next season because that would probably inter with parties currently bidding They know we have no income from ticket sales so they will be making an estimate on how many they will sell Anyway if we get any money in it will be used to pay off ciurrent debts or Euells wages
  8. You seem to forget that nobody is really running the club The administrators are just trying to py off the debts not planning for next season
  9. I think the main stumbling block is the price to be charged
  10. Yes I think that pretty well sums up the situation unfortunately
  11. So what would you have done as I agree with your analysis. He may have been hoping to sell in the January Window but may not have got any offers
  12. I think it was a lost cause when we were unable to sell off our top earners to reduce the debt Also the wrong tactics were employed for home games
  13. I dont think it is a fact just your analysis not based on facts. It was obvious we had to sell players but probably no one wanted to buy them at reasonable prices Getting in good loan strikers at low wages I would have thought was very difficult
  14. Yes it is called the perks of the job
  15. Sell Players at knock down prices? Dyer When does the window start.
  16. Give a thought to the Office Staff at St Mary's they cannot be very happy worry about whether they are going to get paid
  17. Yes I agree with you but the PFA often pay players wages in these situations Still not good but I would have thought anybody making a realistic bid would be giving the Administrator Options on 1 Which League SFC would be playing in next season 2 How many points if any the club would de deducted next season.
  18. As I said being in administration is not good .
  19. Not owning the ground will not stop somebody buying us . But not having Premiership Status may. In fact over the last few years on SISU appears to want to buy us
  20. Being in Administration is not that good is it?
  21. You really are a miserable git You wanted administration you have now got it and are still whingeing Get a life
  22. I had two problems with Burley 1 He brought in average players at overated wages 2 He was always looking to get in midfield and forward players when I thought the defence needed attention. But the team played reasonably well until late 2007
  23. Who do you think should be doing this as we are in administration I think nothing will be done at the moment
  24. How many Wolves supporters I wonder But Derby is a well supported club
  25. Yes I think 3 wins will keep us up too
