I dont see what director's salaries has to do with anything. Wilde Lowe Cowen etc seem to be doing a decent job within the constaints we find our selves.

You are probably right it always was going to be a hard struggle why people were so optimistic about our final league position I dont understand. I am certain the team will improve but it does not help with all the negative stuff on this forum. We are where we are no money and a young inexperienced team lets give them our support and see what happens. We cannot suddenly conjure up experienced players. But surely our luck will change with better application. Giving a goal away at Cardiff by not playing to the whistle Giving a stupid penalty against Blackpool Getting sent off at QPR these will probably not happen again but have cost us points It is the lack of goals which is causing the problem I think so why not change to 4 4 2

Who would be a football charman with a fan like you. You are supposed to support the team in times of trouble. We have 41 games to go

I think he should get a bonus if 22000 turn up at St Mary's

Every time an Anti-Lowe poster posts, a puppy dies
John B replied to Alain Perrin's topic in The Saints
Yes but not everytime a team has a poor run surely. That is what he is getting at. -

Sells Threads I suppose but the content is interesting and I fully agree with it -
I did not realise that Wilde had any involvement in running the club after he resigned. I thought it was Hone Delieu etc I am sorry if I was wrong. I must admit I never understood how Hone etc got so much power they even got rid of Crouch from being acting Chairman of the football club. Perhaps someone should write a book about the goings on at SFC Ridsdale did at Leeds Utd United We Fall. ill. . London: Macmillan, 2007. Hard Cover ISBN: 780230018662.

Well you cannot make conclusions on a long term strategy after it has only started. After we beat Brum lots of fans were saying the play offs were achievable all I am saying we will have to wait sometime before we can say what Lowe/Wilde are doing is going to be a success. I do not understand what Pearson has to do with this debate he is long gone - overpaid and over at Leicester where he may well do a good job.
-
I originally was agreeing with you that Crouch should not be the scape goat. Wilde's promises made in the best intentions turned out as you say to be unrealistic and ultimately false. But Hone was running the club when the wage bill started to increase alarmingly and should take a great deal of the responsibility for the current financial situation

Very Constructive Oz How would it help if Lowe Wilde and JP Left who would take their places
-
I know it would not be ideal but Bristol City Nottingham Forest and Swansea were once in the top flight have recently been promoted to the Championship. Man City Bolton Wolves Aston Villa have all been in the old Third Division in the last thirty years and maybe Blackburn

Daily Echo - LALLANA Fulham bid rejected...SPURS INTEREST TOO
John B replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
I know things are not looking very good but I cannot see what else we can/could do. At least it is interesting trying to avoid relegation although I would of course like to be supporting a more successful team but we have to take the bad with the bad and hope the bad turns to good one day. -
Daily Echo - LALLANA Fulham bid rejected...SPURS INTEREST TOO
John B replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
I am very sorry my posting did not meet your approval. So please can you tell me what the article said as I was not able to find it as there may have been further information that was not in the original echo piece. Obviously you have read it as you say you are sure it was slow with the news. -
I dont know who he worked for but he was the chief executive who was appointed by the board that replaced Lowe on false promises.
-
I agree with you Wes but I think Hone is the main culprit for our current financial mess as he appears to have little to address the problem except trying to get SISU to take us over.

Saw this on the BBC Site Today Fulham are preparing a January bid for Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana. (Daily Star) -
Patience is what is required until the financial situation is resolved. It is going to take three or four years to see if the Stategy has worked
-
What like winning games
-
I dont think Crouch is to blame for much. Wilde employed Hone and got shafted. Hone was the one who should have done something but was courting SISU who would have paid him handsomely if they had taken over. In my opinion Hone is the villian in the piece followed by Wilde who not a villian was probably extremely niave.
-
Yes two good posts I think we need to be patient as we do have a realistic plan
-
Just because they are older than 22 does not mean they are better
-
Yes I know it beggars belief that is what Lowe/Wilde are trying to rectify but there is a longway to go yet and many poor results to come.
-
That is quite obvious Nickh. However the fanbase lacks pragmatism s gets upset when Saints lose games and has little or no patience. We are where are we should get behind the team so that hopefully we will not get relegated. Not going to games is not in anyway going to help the situation.
-
Yes I agree about the losing habit but we have won some and the football we are playing is not bad we just need to sort out the CB situation and get some luck
-
I dont think you are in the real world. Have you missed all the reports from St Mary's regarding our financial situation.
