They were. However the Pompey News report seems to indicate that 70-90 'known Saints hooligans arriving by train' were the catalyst for the disorder.

I wasn't particularly inspired by the signing but I reckon he should provide more overall benefit to the team that the 'mercurial' talents of Boufal. I have to say that if Theo can perform as well on the pitch as he did in the Saints FC interview (in which he came over as a pleasant, intelligent and well spoken individual) I think we might have a diamond, but only time will tell.

Me too. The only game I recollect seeing him on the field was WBA away.

Current Squad? 1. McCarthy..........Forster,,,,,,,Gunn? 2. Walker Peters...Valery 3. Bertrand............Voakes 4. Romeu...............Diallo 5. Bedernak..........Stephens 6. Vestergaard......Salisu 7. Armstong.........Long 8. Adams..............Walcott 9. Ings...................Obefemi 10.Ward Prowse...Smallbone 11. Redmond........Djenepo Arguably stronger than last year but possibly a bit light at Left Back. Attacking Midfield and possibly striker. Would also like to see some more height in the side and left footed players but beggars can't be choosers!!

Important to beat the weaker teams which was our strong point last year. Shame we didnt get a result at Palace but two wins ve Burnley & WBA v important.

I went to Wembley in 1976 with Duncan Kirk!!

There is some suggestion that this winter could be one of the worst in recent times. As someone who lived through the winter of 1963 when the fixture congestion was very significant, I wonder how another very cold and snowy winter could affect an already Covid threatened season. Of course pitches are generally in better shape these days but extended snow and frost in Jan/Feb/March would surely affect any return of spectators to stadia. Let's hope the long range forecast is not correct as continued snowy weather could really adversely affect the finances of a lot of clubs. Possibly a fixture congestion may be beneficial to us as we will probably have only League games to worry about. Btw, Saints had a great run in the FA Cup in 1963, reaching the semi finals as a Second Division club.

Is Salisu a figment of our collective imagination?

Whats the general opinion on attendances when (at some time in the far distance!!) life goes back to normal? After WW2 people were crazy for live events and all football grounds were crammed. I wonder if it will be the same post Covid or will people have found other interests to follow and there will be plenty of empty spaces in some grounds? I must admit, as a long term season ticket holder, I am not missing my fortnightly visits to St Mary's but this is probably due to the turgid home performances post the Koeman era.

Steve, No idea what you are saying but logging on today has been simples!!
-
Cant this be done? I am assuming the money I have invested in a season ticket this year may count towards next season based on credits provided on games I wont be able to attend.
-
From my part access has been back to normal for past couple of days Fingers crossed!!

The all-new relegation prices thread (2020/21 edition)
spyinthesky replied to tisspahars's topic in The Saints
I had us West Brom and Fulham down for relegation after the start to the season. Early doors atm but all these teams sit in the bottom three. Next week at Burnley may provide a clearer indication. If we were to lose Ings (or to a lesser extent JWP or Bertrand) then we are royally screwed. -
Salisu.....We have no idea what he is like. Could be another duffer like Danso or Hoedt
-
Very poor again recently Give up many a time which is a shame as this has been a decent site over the years
-
Any idea how many season tickets have been sold compared to last season- 50%?

Cabinet Minister agrees in a Parliamentary discussion that the Govt proposed alteration to the Agreement freely signed will break International Law and one of the senior Govt Lawyers has resigned as a consequence. It's all going to plan!!

First Team...............Cover..........Squad........Bye Bye? 1. McCarthy................Gunn...........Lewis......(Foster........... £5m). 2. Walker Peters.........Valery..........................(Danso...................). 3. Bertrand..................Vokes........McQueen (if fit). 4. Romeu......................???..............................(Reed.............£6m?). 5. Stephens..................???..............................(Vestegaard...£14m?) 6. Bednarak................Salisu...........................(Hoedt.............£5m?). 7. Armstong...............Smallbone....................(Boufal)..........????). . 8. Ward Prowse............???..............................(Lemina..........£8m?). 9. Ings.........................Obefami........................(Carillo...........Free). 10. Adams...................Long.............................(Hodjberg.......£15m). 11. Redmond..............Djenepo........................(Elyounoussi.....Loan). So based on estimated transfer values Ie £53m and deducting KWP and Salisu at approx £24, there is around £30m available to bring in at least one midfielder and central defender Youngsters knocking on the door? Ferry Nlundulu Jankewitz Tella Others likely to depart? Slattery? Sims? Hesketh? Jones?

Nothing wrong with a bit of Buddy Holly. Might educate some of the younger members of our group!!!!!!!

Any followers on here? I am surprised that so many of the Mass Shootings in the USA are considered to be 'False Flag' incidents full of dedicated 'actors' who will never/ever reveal their involvement. It is really interesting to learn that 'The Donald' was put on this earth to save us from the US equivalents of Jimmy Saville and Gary Glitter as well as those ne'er do wells with political views the polar opposite of the right wing extremists who the likes of Alex Jones, Breibart and most of Fox Mews staffers like to encourage . Perhaps I am less surprised that Prince Phillip is possibly a Lizard in his days off but hey ho, all to their own.

Mack rill, You come across as the voice of reason and decency quite distant from the likes of the 'perfumed' Mr Westwood and Co. Perhaps you might consider leaving the Dark Side and become an honorary 'Scummer' and break a few Dock Strikes along the way!!!

P Compared to over 20,000 last year? Cash flow must be a problem for most clubs. I guess quite a few hardy supporters are hanging fire close to 1st Sept and some interesting new signings might stimulate demand. Presume no allowance for away supporters whilst Covid around?
-
Just think this coming Saturday we started the 2019/20 with an exciting 3-0 reverse at Turf Moor!!!!!

Any idea how many season tickets have been sold?

I remember when we won the Combination Cup (ie a reserve Team competition) back in the early 70's I think. Think we beat West Ham in a two legged Final with around 15,000 at The Dell for the home leg. Channon played.
