Ah well looks like we're down to the rain option then. How can such a talented (well on paper) batting side as Hampshire be so abject twice in a row.
-
And it doesn't seem to have gotten any better second time around. Hopefully Rossouw and Bailey will put on a mega partnership for the 4th wicket or it will rain from about now until tomorrow teatime or even later.
-
Easier said than done apparently..
-
Makes sense but he'd probably have not got slammed in the last overs as the others did.
-
To compensate for the no balls and wides you mean. We lost this one all by ourselves due to bad bowling.
-
What like Berg you mean. Was he injured today or did we just play the lad Holland just for the hell of it ?
-
Hants in desperate trouble now, Glams only need 9 off the last over. Had it on a plate and then our bowling got savaged by Cooke.
-
Well fortunately we got a big score thanks to Vince and Dawson and pinned Glamorgan down at the start because Dawson and Crane have been absolutely hammered. Guess that's part of the plan.
-
Look to be a bit pinned down right now. Three wickets down so I guess the onus is on Dawson and Vince to build a decent score.
-
As I believe I said at the time, Boufal isn't a goalscorer in the vein of Mané, I doubt that we recruted him as such.
-
For a big cheque with lots of zeros you buy what you can't for half or a quarter of the price...consistency, the ability to do it under any circumstances and often when it's most needed, like Sanchez yesterday. But these blokes are few and far between and when you unearth one under a stone somewhere you need to be able to hold on to him. For example, the Boufal dribble and shot late on yesterday. Do you think Sanchez or Aguero would have blasted the final effort 10 yards wide? No, back of the net, that's the difference between top class and so-so I'm afraid.
-
Always the same argument, Leicester, Leicester, Leicester. It was a one off freak situation based on one or two players that they got lucky with. If you want a striker who's established in the game and guaranteed to score goals in the PL then that's going to cost you a lot of money. Alternatively you can go for less and hope you get lucky on occasions.
-
Spot on on the outcome of the attacking moves, they broke down at the last phase as a rule. But isn't that why Utd pay Ibramovic 15 million a year or whatever and players like Sanchez are worth 70 or 80 million? You pay for what you get and that's why 14 million £ strikers aren't as clinical as 80 million £ strikers.
-
So what's happened to all the " I'll be happy with a cup final and mid-table brigade" then ? I thought we did pretty well last night and as someone has just said some excellent goalkeeping denied us at least one goal, there were also so decent last ditch tackles from Arsenal's defence.
-
But he did shoot, unfortunately his shot was about 5 yards wide and 2 yards too high. Anyway I thought our front men were pretty wasteful yesterday, getting into good positions and then putting an easy pass astray or losing the ball too easily. Look at that Boufal effort, marvellous skill, beats about 5 blokes and then shoots about 10 yards wide from about 15 yards out.

Fortunately for Hants Rossouw is on form today because the rest has looked a bit fragile. Still coasting to a win.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about; The French taxation system is pretty complex. To start with there are a lot of social charges which are imputed to gross pay. Then income tax is calcuated separately on the remainder according to circumstances and a few other things. For instance if you live in say Melun but you work in Paris you can normally deduct all your to and fro work costs plus your lunch from the amount you pay tax on. A lot of people don't pay income tax at all, over 50% of the households apparently. Then you get into the realms of CSG and RDS, these are levied on all income except for some government handouts.
-
Not so great now though. Bowlers getting hammered by Trego, who, IIRC ,is in great form just now.
-
Great start for Hants, Somerset 2 down after only 9 balls. However they did recover from about 22/5 to make a biggish total in their first Royal London match this season.
-
Well given Somerset's record so far this season in this competition we might need to look at restricting their run rate a bit. I'd definitely go for Edwards but I'd not drop Berg either. Think Crane and perhaps Adams will miss out. Edit: Nearly right, Topley and Adams don't make the starting XI today.

Doesn't look like that there any Sainsts players at all in the England U20 group for the WC of the category. That's a bit unusual isn't it ? Has the conveyor belt just stopped or is it that they're not getting first team games and are thus less on show?

Liverpool 0-0 Saints - Match & Reactions Thread

So was that for the bear hug, the shirt pulling or the upper arm clearance ? -
So who fired Cortese then, remind me...sorry I meant persuaded him to fire himself.
-
They looked totally jaded after they went behind yesterday evening, as if they'd finally run out of puff. Their squad is a team and a couple of replacements who are roughly at the same level and a lot of also rans behind that.

Chelsea's last 4 games look pretty easy and Spurs are beginning to pay for their CL and EL campaigns.
