  1. But as he tried to seize a FAMAS assault rifle from a young girl soldier it could have been worse. Not even a hardened commando girl either, an airforce mechanic by the sounds of it. Really the French government have got Sentinel all wrong. Putting these girls into "terrorist patrols" is going to lead to a big problem one day. As it is some of them are even part time high school students.
  2. Which is exactly what i've been suggesting for years isn't it. Rich but not that rich, just an overused (and erroneous) extrapolation of the wealth of the whole family.
  3. Crane and Dawson both in the wickets in the North-South one dayer. Crane looks to have gone for a fair few runs as well though whereas Dawson is only giving away 3 an over
  4. Total agents' fees are published by the FA or the PL aren't they ?
  5. Indeed,IIRC the old programmes used to have the projected teams printed on the back cover and people made changes with a pen (or pencil in some cases) when they were announced over the tannoy. Before there were names on shirts of course, it was the way that you knew who was who in the opposing sides. They were also full of fag and drink adverts, now there's something else you don't get for your money nowadays..
  6. Yep even worse than Pompey, they only had amateur status from about 2010 to 2013.
  7. RC Strasbourg went bust a long time ago. the entity that sold us Morgan hasn't existed for these last 6 or 7 years. The one that's almost back to where it was before is entirely different so I doubt that we had to pay any sell on fee in that case. The difference being between us and the defunct R C Strasbourg is that they went bust in their totality, with us it was just the parent company.
  8. So we only got 30.3 million net for Schneiderlin and Clyne then, doesn't seem much compared to the figures generally bandied about.
  9. Better than who? Millwall? Cos we certainly ain't better than Tottenham.
  10. Good result, played pretty well but my how careless with the ball were Watford, plus they just seem to have no tactical discipline whatsoever.
  11. He looked pretty decent last season before his broken leg. Now he's just fallen foul of Mourinho as have so many other decent players before him and as you say just needs to get a move and get playing again. That's a José problem, if he doesn't think you fit in you might as well get your agent to start negociations for a move. It seems to be a completely random thing with him as well.
  12. Heartbreaking yes but it's what Utd do. Seems to me that they get more late wins than any other team around. Used to be in Fergie time...added on for no reason whatsoever but nowadays it seems to be all last few minutes stuff.
  13. Giving Hassen a go is something I think we might well regret. He was 3rd keeper at the Gym for a reason and the other 2 are really nothing to write home about. Forster isn't great just now but wait until you see the other bloke in anything like a competitve game.
  14. Swapped him for what or who? Players like Zlatan don't play for clubs like Saints. They need 5 million adoring fans to boost their ego to maintain performances. More fans he has the better he plays.
  15. Urggh, less of that, I shall now have soppy old David Soul ditty ringing through my head for the rest of the afternoon.
  16. And yet another shambolic engine from Honda. How hard can it be to provide an engine that's good for more than 1 lap in an entire winter break? McLaren should have dumped them after the disastrous first season. Same old same old, nice enough car but an absolutely crap engine that will be still a couple of seconds off the pace no matter what they do.
  17. If Herrera's gap hadn't existed the shot would have probably just hit the wall. The kick in itself was nothing exceptional, getting the hole to put it through was. At the end of the day the wall desolidarised and was completely useless because Davis didn't jump.
  18. Positioning at a free kick doesn't matter a jot when an opposition player pulls out of a wall leaving a gaping hole to be shot through and you've just let it happen. That's something that obviously needs to be worked on.
  19. There were times last season when he won games virtually on his own. He didn't seem to have the problem of getting down that he obviously now has. Something isn't right with him.
  20. Leicester had a luckyish season last year, not many injuries, a few late goals giving them 1-0 wins I think and not much Cup involvement plus of course no European football. Now it seems to me that those top clubs completely free of Europe have an easier time of it than those who are battering it out Moldavia and Iceland every other Wednesday or Thursday. Leicester weren't up to the PL and the European challenge this season and their players are probably prioritisng what will be for most of them a once in a lifetime experience. So for the second time in a row we see a PL winning manager sacked mid way through the following season.
  21. Spurs more likely.
  22. It will take more than Caceres to put the mess I watched yesterday evening right. Umtiti, what were they thinking honestly.
  23. Can we now knock off all of the relegation whining ?
