  1. Heartbreaking yes but it's what Utd do. Seems to me that they get more late wins than any other team around. Used to be in Fergie time...added on for no reason whatsoever but nowadays it seems to be all last few minutes stuff.
  2. Giving Hassen a go is something I think we might well regret. He was 3rd keeper at the Gym for a reason and the other 2 are really nothing to write home about. Forster isn't great just now but wait until you see the other bloke in anything like a competitve game.
  3. Swapped him for what or who? Players like Zlatan don't play for clubs like Saints. They need 5 million adoring fans to boost their ego to maintain performances. More fans he has the better he plays.
  4. Urggh, less of that, I shall now have soppy old David Soul ditty ringing through my head for the rest of the afternoon.
  5. And yet another shambolic engine from Honda. How hard can it be to provide an engine that's good for more than 1 lap in an entire winter break? McLaren should have dumped them after the disastrous first season. Same old same old, nice enough car but an absolutely crap engine that will be still a couple of seconds off the pace no matter what they do.
  6. If Herrera's gap hadn't existed the shot would have probably just hit the wall. The kick in itself was nothing exceptional, getting the hole to put it through was. At the end of the day the wall desolidarised and was completely useless because Davis didn't jump.
  7. Positioning at a free kick doesn't matter a jot when an opposition player pulls out of a wall leaving a gaping hole to be shot through and you've just let it happen. That's something that obviously needs to be worked on.
  8. There were times last season when he won games virtually on his own. He didn't seem to have the problem of getting down that he obviously now has. Something isn't right with him.
  9. Leicester had a luckyish season last year, not many injuries, a few late goals giving them 1-0 wins I think and not much Cup involvement plus of course no European football. Now it seems to me that those top clubs completely free of Europe have an easier time of it than those who are battering it out Moldavia and Iceland every other Wednesday or Thursday. Leicester weren't up to the PL and the European challenge this season and their players are probably prioritisng what will be for most of them a once in a lifetime experience. So for the second time in a row we see a PL winning manager sacked mid way through the following season.
  10. Spurs more likely.
  11. It will take more than Caceres to put the mess I watched yesterday evening right. Umtiti, what were they thinking honestly.
  12. Can we now knock off all of the relegation whining ?
  13. Debateable really. Those below us need more points than us, thus they have to win and draw more games. Winning improves your GD and losing makes it worse. So if we really reach the periphery of the bottom 3, which we certainly won't, we'll have no doubt worsened our GD in doing so.
  14. And yet we'll get a few posts from people who say they've wagered some sum on Saints going down at long odds just to make them feel better if the impossible happens, they could give me the money really for all the return they'll get.
  15. Seems like a bit of a delicate flower tbh.
  16. What's up with him this time?
  17. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened in football.
  18. Why would they do that though. I doubt it was Koeman who wanted Forster in particular. Probably just wanted a supposedly decent keeper and Reed brought his England fantasies to bear.
  19. They lost their 4th match on the trot yesterday and are about 8th or 9th in their league. Nowhere near what they were before the money ran out and their former owner got prison time which he only avoided due to being so old.
  20. Relatively easy win for us I don't doubt.
  21. Lot of injuries at Juve I think, probably asking for a great deal of money as well, could even be a bit choosy I suspect..
  22. Well yes, no point in signing a player if you already have 25 senior pros named on your roster because you can't change it until summer now.
  23. Well no but any assertion that Gardos has been and probably always will be a total waste of time and money seems always to be met with WTF comments from some here.
  24. And yet we have Gardos and Stephens both of whom, as I am assured by my coforumees, are good players and perfectly up to the task of stepping up whilst VvD is out and José figures out that he should be back here.
