I understand that perfectly, but you sure can have a lot more composure when you're 6ft 2 and solid as a brick sh*it house (without being overweight) and you don't get knocked off the ball like a speck of dust. In passing happy birthday to Torres, 25 today, but I guess he doesn't look in here all that often.
-
Torres has scored more goals than BWP has played games; At 24 BWP has played a total of 140 games for 23 goals, Torres has played nigh on 400 games and has scored 160 goals all competitions included. Torres is an aggressive lad well over 6 ft tall and takes the rough with the smooth, plus he can dish it out and his physical strength is part of his make up.Whilst I understand that Wotte is not in any way comparing BWP to Torres he lacks many of Torres attributes which make him what he is. If BWP had them he might score many more goals.
-
I think that they're figuring more along the lines that the administrators would sell him for anything that was offered. If we go down we'll be going into admin, clear as day.
-
Why?are you no longer convinced that we'll be down long before that match??
-
Still we should get 3000 minimum (being approx 10% of 30600)
-
What's that then? scoring goals, yep Torres does that, not so sure about BWP though. Torres does goals like BWP does handbags in Portsmouth clubs.
-
I don't think he has much money actually. In fact not very much at all. The only ex Saint who has money (other than Keegan) would be Mick Channon.
-
Well not if you count Gray,Wadsworth,Wigley,Delgado and putting Dave Jones on garden leave he wasn't.On selling players agreed, he was doing a reasonable job.
-
Well the FA said their fax ran out of paper or something similar. Bet if it had been us signing a player after the deadline it wouldn't have washed.
-
Yes but isn't there some sort of permanent deal in prospective at the end of the season with Wolves? I mean at Wolves he may get Prem football again although it seems to be beyond his capabilities. League 1 with Forest is probably less of a draw.
-
Portsmouth probably, they put it on the rhubarb, in Southampton we have custard on ours.
-
15 million I think, but they're selling Tevez to Utd for 32 million so that's a big + in the profit column. PLus continued Premiership football for what? at least another 3 years.

Palace wanted Dyer/Gorre's son in demand
Window Cleaner replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
I don't think they actually did, not for 500K. The press might have talked about it but I'm not sure it actually happened. We'd have taken 500K to be sure,as we didn't it probably didn't get offered. -

I went to that game, drank in the same pub as Forest at midday, 2 bars ,one for each set of fans. absolutely no trouble whatsoever. -

Crystal Palace didn't think so and Swansea are as yet undecided. -
Doubt it, we were in bid situation at the time (well I think so anyway) and I don't think directors can do that sort of thing when that's the case. On an aside note, yesterday there was a wee bit of LSE action at 15.70/share; today transactions have gone down at 13p, I am genuinely worried that whatever we do on the pitch administration will negate it.
-
Doubt it actually.I think we are really really broke, Mother Hubbard Syndrome if you like.
-
Not me OSM, I'm on late shift 1200 miles away on Wednesday. Watching over you all as usual..

What?? he'd have put in 35 billion out of his own pocket dont'cha know.

The question is of us being relegated before the last match. 9 points from 7 games would probably stop that happening. If you move on to the 4th April matches you have something like Blackpool-Plymouth and Barnsley-Forest. So unless we lose t home to Charlton we're obliged to make up ground on some-one there.
-
No I'm assuming we'll carry on getting 1.3 points per game as we have so far under Wotte's tenure, that's why I say "statistically". Going into the last game we'd be on 48 points or so and I doubt whether all of the others would have obtained 52 points by then because there are a few games between them.
-
Statistically it's highly unlikely given the make up of the matches and the pt/match average of each of the relegation candidates.
-
We spent it on crap. Find the Echo from 20th January 2006, it's all detailed in there.Since then there has been more crap in than good players out. We are wastrels, we turn good money into crap.
-
Probably because of the bit of money we made from the Utd game. we shipped out John and I suppose gained a bit of leeway for Saga. Euell and Skacel have been here all along, doubt if there's much appearance related money to be honest.
