  1. Now here's a hypothesis Sasha is supposed to be running PFC off his own bat, Dad's swans being singularly unwelcome. If his bank accounts were being monitored to see where his money comes from they might not be very flush just now. Anyway the arms trade isn't what it used to be,everybody is trying to muscle in on it and cut prices .
  2. Ahh I don't need Sam Aritan, it's only football, I have a "life" as well. Mind you when we win, those around me are much happier bunnies of a saturday.. trouble is we can't afford to rest anyone, we're down to the "bare-bones". the old injury plague is hitting us hard as per usual; As I mentioned yesterday I think we have a problem with Pekhart and Paterson isn't ready yet so we only have BWP to play up front.
  3. I, in my minority of one mode again, think Harry is a good manager but he has a style which cannot be cramped or restricted in any way shape or form; At the end of the day he probably comes out on the plus side of the transfer ledger but he has to do things his way. Try to put restraints on the cost or ethics of what he does and you'll get an unhappy, demotivated bunny. If you want the best out of Harry, don't cramp his style, pay up and fade into the background, that's what you need to do. Most football clubs lose money anyway, might as well get some success whilst losing it.
  4. It's not the formation that changes anything, it's the quality of the players performing it. Moving BWP (who's supposed to be a striker) up to make a double pronged attacked with McGoldrick won't change anything.Lallana isn't a striker either, but then he's not a playmaker .Our problem (from what I can work out) is that our midfield can't play the wave system that goes with Jan's type of football. I've seen it work, even used it,but you need players that can win the ball and distribute it. Morgan was apparently very disappointing yesterday, perhaps he's not adjusting well to the style of his team mates. "Total football" needs absolute confidence in your team mates, if it's not there the system can't work.
  5. I tried to be, as you say perhaps I've seen enough. Can't see that me no longer being supportive will change anything as I don't see that there is any other solution. Administration won't change anything, the only thing that will is money, can't see where that's coming from so all in all might as well go with the tide. It's obvious that we have SOME players that a worth a game, but from what I've read about yesterday even they are no longer performing, and that can only be down to the coach.
  6. I point ,you're optimistic then. I'll go for zero.
  7. I looked on the Sky players ratings (which come from the fans) Nearly all our players were in the 2s and 3s.Even the "golden boys Lallana and Surman. WTF is happening??. I thought Jan was a good idea but if he cant cut it,cut him.
  8. Think you mean whipping boy rather than hatchet man. Anyway McG is crap but he's cheap crap,BWP is the guy who's case you should all be on, does nothing, but boy does that nothing cost a lot.
  9. Bring back the floppy cardboard fruit machines tickets that the Supporters Club used to sell everywhere in Southampton to give money to the club. You couldn't go into a pub or office in Southampton without having someone wanting to flog them to you. That would go back to,what about 1971/3, something like that?.
  10. Spurs must have a bit of folding at their disposition. They've sold Berbatov and Keane for over 50 million and probably not spent half of that.So they'll be plenty to wheel and deal with. Trouble with Spanish managers is that they don't know how to wheel and deal. It's something they don't get involved in in Spain, just make suggestions and leave it to the front office afterwards.
  11. What money? there's no money to be in it for anyway. Unless you count the million that Wilde has already lost on share value of course; In it's current configuration all anyone is going to make out of SLH,SFC or whatever is a sharp pain about wallet height. Some of our directors might even have given personal guarantees to the bank.
  12. Yes, but I'm afraid that their value will have slipped well down the scale by then. They're doing nothing to maintain the value that they had in pre-season. Unless they start turning in performances we'll get a couple of mill for them all up,as opposed to the reported 5.5 million that was on offer in August.Still must keep the fans happy and not sell their darling boys, even if it does put you right in the shîte.The academy costs a fortune to run (apparently) if you can't sell the products or use them to boost your gates and get Sky money there isn't much point is there.
  13. Rights issue?, That would mean that people who have shares on which they've already lost money want to buy more and errr lose more money. Can't see anyone fancying that honestly, not even Lowe,Wilde et al. Anyone count me out. I just can't see any way out just now, we've got to get some short term cash from somewhere. AS I said the other day, should have sold Surman and Lallana in August. I mean they're great young prospects but they're not scoring and apparently not making others score. We just have to try and do a deal on them NOW and try to get some up front money or at least something to persuade the bank to lend us some(more).
  14. Surely that's an added incentive for us to stay up then. One or t'other of them will come down, regrettable if we aren't still there to greet them.
  15. I don't doubt we're paying them peanuts or that their parent clubs are supporting them in some way. Perhaps what we need is bodies to make up the numbers, we've been scraping the barrel a few time this season already. BWP should be outta here by now but guess no one wants him. He's always been crap and I'm really ****ed off that he's still here getting a game when he should have been put out to grass somewhere long ago. Seems to me we just have to let anyone go that someone wants and take someone less costly in exchange to make sure we have enough to field at least a first side and a reserve side. We need money FAST and Lowe and Wilde should step aside for anyone who has some, not talk money, real money,to pay players to enable us to avoid relegation. On the John front just a thought, perhaps as we couldn't shift Skacel ,John had to go because there's not enough to pay everybody next month. Perhaps Brizzl City have promised to pay us money for him.
  16. Course they are, no money, can't score, can't afford to pay anybody who might score. No defence ,so can't even count on a draw because we'll always concede. I tried to rest supportive as always but after today I can't be bothered any more; Our debts and our shiny new plastic stadium, for which we have insufficient hard core fans, will drag us down into oblivion. Doesn't matter who's at the helm (unless they're prepared to put up sizeable dobs of moolah from their own pocket). We can't afford to pay players, we don't have many decent ones left and we're still losing money.Have been for yonks, we sell players for sums which have vastly outweighed what we buy, rash as spending 7 million might be, we made 9 million or so profit on players at the end of that season. We can't afford to play football at a decent level any more.We got too big for our boots with the stadium and the academy and now that we're not in the top flight any more ,they'll be the death of us.
  17. Won't get enough points for it to make a difference.
  18. Same as 1-0, when we go behind you know we won't come back. 1-0 and 5-0 is the same for us.
  19. Well last season, season before ,season before that. I mean we lost a few games 3-2 last season didn't we?.
  20. Highly likely. We've often been crap but we can usually score a few, concede more of course.
  21. Whatever, I meant I doubt if his salary is actually being paid just now. Bank wouldn't allow it,when you're racking up your overdraft they often ask directors to forgo the payment of salaries for a while.
  22. Yes, we had a free kick after about 15 minutes or so, or I think so anyway.
  23. Doubt if he's getting paid at all just now. Probably racking up a debt to him as well. Anyway £1000 quid a week won't get us a player worth having. Can't get tyro league "stars" for that now.
