don't think so, think we had to give Aviva a further 4 million or so under certain conditions...which we did a couple of years back. Stadium debt was never 60 million anyway. Some say that this is fairly accurate http://swissramble.blogspot.fr/2012/01/southampton-saints-alive.html

Aren't his children supposed to have left their school of late (don't know how true that is, ask letsB) so for the time being he's gone, at least from the immediate vicinity.

I suppose in November we were planning our transfer window needs which had become suddenly obvious because of major injuries. If NC went to the owner and got told "nope no more swans for you" then you could understand the timing of the affair. Me personally if anyone dared tell me I had to give up on my project and play Gazzaniga because there was nothing else available I'd have quit on the spot.
-
I suppose because as far as we all know NC's vision was European Football asap. We have players who'd want that as a minimum, we have players who have refused to join CL clubs for vast amounts of money to continue "the project" with us. NC's departure may come as a shock to more than one, not that I think that they only found out yesterday though, some knew before, we saw it a couple of games back.

Mauricio Pochettino staying as Southampton manager - Official

his contract isn't up at the end of the season, well not as far as I know anyway. In theory he's here until the end of the 14/15 season but that could be just an option year for all we know. -

38%ish for PL games -
Maybe Katarina has better plans for the club than NC had

I seem to remember reading somewhere that virtually everything from the late Markus's empire (not that it every included cranes, dumper trucks, freezers or heavy engineering) has been sold off and all that remains is a sort of consultancy business. Can't for the life of me think why the owner would be any more interested in keeping SFC than the rest of it. -

don't know about that, seemed to imply that his committment to the club was for the rest of this season for the time being. Just my impression from his last answer though. -
MP press conference @ 3pm live on Sky.

Aren't they usually live on the OS with a sort of You Tube thingy ? -
one of the great problems with people making stuff up, there are many versions of the same event...or non-event as the case might be. With twitter and stuff like that everybody and his dog feels obliged to comment on anything and everything. In times gone by people just made stuff up and exposed it to a select few in public houses and the like, now it's gone global on various social media.

Unless SRL is desperately shopping around for a move, then again why would he be doing that because he seemed to be saying completely otherwise only a few weeks back. It's an enigma really.

Mauricio still has a year and a half left on his current contract, why would anyone be in a rush to negociate a new one. If reports are correct and NC actually resigned 3 months ago much is explained. -
just can't see what difference it will make as long as Mauricio doesn't quit today as well. the players obviously knew that something was going down, some might even had a bit of a hollow period a couple of games back, but that's past now and for the time being I can't see it not being business as usual.

I think it will be OK, see no reason to think otherwise, the players are still here, the manager is still here and as for the sale of Lambert and Shaw that's being speculated upon in another thread I personally don't think the loss of either would make a great deal of difference if we buy what I consider to be a god left back within this window. Shaw is not the world's best left back as of yet and for about 7 or 8 million we could get an excellent replacement.

on the old forum, back in the dark days of the warring triumvirate, continual take over speculation,Jonah, Longshot, Mike Wild posting etc. There was a poster of that name. Never made the switch to this forum it would seem, hated Burley, seemed to know an awful lot about some things.
-
Milan have appointed Seedorf as coach/manager, now that's experimental enough and it could go either way really. It's about as likely as not that they'll be looking for a new manager in the summer anyway. Pochettino could well be a prime candidate should that situation arise.

He's been here a year now, last May he'd just been here a couple of months and I think he was still living in a hotel somewhere. Now he's becoming accustomed to the way of life, his family are here and he's doing well enough. Anyone can change their mind when a situation ceases to be hypothetical and becomes real.

This thread should be re-titled as "Never mind the bo1lox, here's the football"

All of my money or just some of it ?

End of an Era... now there was a provocative poster...hated Burley if I remember correctly...what happened to him/her ? I remember someone accusing he/her/it of being Leon Crouch.

If you leave me now...Chicago...or were they still the Chicago Transit Authority then.

Don't really believe it either, Traoré has got his work permit and will be signing for them later on today (apparently), they've re-signed Carlton Cole and they have Carroll now, why on earth would they want Lambert as well.
