  1. AOC is out for a while I think. Solanke,Origi and Ings won't make the grade, Milner and Lallana are pushing past it, Wijnaldum showed he's not really top class in an offensive role when he was called upon at the end of last season and I've no idea who Woodburn is. They probably need a clear out but they'll have a right old job shifting some of them.
  2. Good player at the price. Given the number of games they'll be playing he'll be a useful option from time to time. Also none of their rivals gets him, not to be sniffed at at when there'll be a 6 team competition for 4 ECL places again this season.
  3. Not a bad effort in the end, came up just 4 short. Obviously a ground where scoring a lot of runs was easy enough. If we hadn't lost 3 wickets in 7 balls at the start we'd probably have made it with a couple of overs to spare. These out grounds must be soul destroying for the bowlers just now, just a turkey shoot where you're lucky to concede less than 10 an over.
  4. Yep, pity we lost 3 wickets in the first 7 balls. Total might have been getable, still might be.
  5. So 211 to get then, perhaps Beckenham has short boundaries. Great, 6 for 2 at the end of the first over. Ah no, make that 7/3 now. Are we not taking the Blast seriously this season?
  6. Medium pacers getting slammed again, then again so are the spinners. Ah well, we won the Royal London, give the others a chance eh..
  7. Not sure that Boufal is a Viera type of player.
  8. And football was probably less central in the lives of many. It was just a game that you went to once or twice a week, paid on the gate, sung with your friends, generally had a good old time for not much money and then was forgotten until the next match.
  9. He wears defenders out, in passing he also wears fans patience out.
  10. Not the best of starts to our T20 campaign. Over confidence perhaps.
  11. Thought the Uruguyans looked pretty toothless in general, Cavani obviously makes a big difference to the way they play.
  12. Russians nicked them all have they ?
  13. Really the media shouldn't publish the statements of idiots. I see that someone claiming to be a long time friend of the bloke thinks that they found the stuff in a bin and injected themselves with it. In that case they would be kinda dead. The police will no doubt find some interesting details at the homeless hostel where the woman was staying.
  14. Of course, we are a stepping stone for the big time at Yeovil and Wycombe.
  15. Regular games when he isn't injured you mean. Just seems to expect to walk into any side after weeks of absence each time.
  16. England did pretty well considering that Henderson was way off and Sterling is very wasteful. Pity we've no real alternative to Henderson available because he looks shot. With Lustig suspended for Sweden in the next game I might start Rashford.
  17. Cost less, probably worth more.
  18. Get the feeling that Howe would do him a world of good. Wasn't Surman in a bit of a decline when Bournemouth signed him? Still he's been at Liverpool for 4 seasons, don't know what his contract situation is though. Might even welcome a move.
  19. Not so sure, over 30, bags of injuries...not someone you're going to splash huge amounts of cash on really. Loan move would be most likely if Liverpool really don't want to take the hit on the nose. Lallana needs to prove he can still play to some sort of useful extent..
  20. Obviously stunted his growth then:)
  21. Read up on him. He wasn't much appreciated at Nice and Viera didn't seem to want him. Played as a CB for Nice. Why anyone would think we'd get a work permit for him is anyone's guess really. Perhaps he has some other non-noted nationality in his baggage.
  22. And the 12 million quid midget, what's he then ?
  23. And DMs we haven't already got enough of, right !
  24. Bobby Moore was a wing half, the role that has now become defensive midfielder. Left half Bobby Moore (6), Centre Half Jack Charlton(5), Right Half Nobby Stiles(4). Midfield hadn't then been invented and your shirt number told you where you played..
