I expect us to win, Swansea's form really isn't great and we've been better these last few games. Thus relegation will be avoided barring a severe thumping on Sunday. That won't happen though because the players will be bouyed up and a last day crowd will get behind them. Why we may even beat City.
-
QUOTE=Batman;2625381]That is what I think. Now Huddersfield got that unexpected point, winning yesterday would have us in the exact same position as we are now. Except that our prospects of getting a point or points against City now look better. What's not to like, last day of the season, massive crowd behind the team..City will certainly crumble anyway .
-
Err last Saturday ? It was the easiest game on our run in thus a vital one to win.
-
Might be handy if Huddersfield rough them up a bit this afternoon, make them think twice next Sunday sort of thing.
-
I see that nearly everybody seems to be writing off any chance of us getting anything at home to City then. I predict that if we need a point against them we will get it.
-
Bit of a bummer there. Still the point is good right !

Relegation strugglers again ? -
Our best chance now of not getting relegated is still us getting at least 3 points and Huddersfield getting nothing at all. Still all a bit iffy though because Swansea will beat Stoke.
-
But if they're down already won't they be less motivated against Swansea?
-
Anyone who sacks Hughes and replaces him with Paul Lambert deserves relegation.
-
No. Them winning would be a bad result for us. Would leave it at any 2 of 5( I think) instead any one of 3

Abysmal batting again. Amla still there but apart from a cameo from Rossouw the rest is just an exceptional dissappointment so far. -
Rumour has it that Walcott is out today. Mind you I got that from a Liverpool supporter who got it from a bloke in Tescos sort of thing.
-
Oh right, silly me, relegation fixation has set in....
-
But wouldn't any relegation bet without West Brom in it just be a gift to the bookies? West Brom can't catch West Ham so there is no sense in pretending otherwise, even by the crookies.

And now they're getting hit. Must be something to do with the atmospherics I suppose. Poor start for Hants again. Adams,Weatherly and Vince all gone again. Down to the South Africans now. -
The basic difference being that, in the main, the others are poor sides with substandard players for the PL. We should be doing better but aren't. We should not be below Huddersfield or Bournemouth but we are. We have underperformed all season, before Pellegrino was sacked and after. We may still escape relegation but only on goal difference as likely as not.

Wow, that must be a crappy wicket at Chelmsford. Yorks all out for 50 in about 19 overs and now Essex are 2 for 2. -

Notts at Trent Bridge today. Hope we bat well. Good start. Notts 39/3, Fidel 2 for 6. Abbott and Wood have conceded a few runs though. Still if that's what it takes to get early wickets. Spoke too soon. Edwards has just gone for 21 in an over. -
Well yes and no. There was an article in Le Figaro yesterday saying that Juncker wants Begium to grant citizenship to all UK EU staff. Otherwise they'll have to fire them and presumably that would cost them a fair bit.
-
High note ? Perhaps but he's certainly going to want to go out without leaving a team that would have to go through the qualifying rounds of the Europa. If they beat Burnley the pressure would be less for the other games but if they don't I think they'd have to win both of the others to ensure that they finish 6th.
-
Oooh, I can see you getting some stick for that.. Not wrong though.
-
Big if though really. Arsenal are very poor defensively and may well get taken to the cleaners.
-
But 20 years would be about right wouldn't it? If, that is, they could get back into the Top flight in the next 3 or 4 years.
