I see that the Russians are now putting it about that they told the coalition where attacking wasn't an option. It also transpires that the French Cruise Missile Destroyers firing systems malfunctioned for 2 of the 3 and they only sent 3 missiles instead of the planned 8.

Ah OK. Had a look at oddschecker and I see that West Brom, Stoke and Saints are odds on for relegation with almost everyone (or with everyone) and all the other sides are not. Seems that they've made up their mind in the main. I mean no-one is going to wager a thousand £ on West Brom avoiding relegation to win a quid if a miracle happens are they. I see that there are some 4/11 and 2/5 odds on Saints as well.

Isn't 4/9 shorter odds than 4/7 ? It means that you'd have to bet 9 units to win 4 rather than 7 units to win 4 doesn't it ?

Perhaps it's not that simple. Top quality CBs cost a lot of money, why that Van Dijk bloke went for about 70 million or so and young bucks like Laporte are 50 million apiece. There are also only so many to go round and when United and Citeh just have to have at least one more than they need, demand exceeds supply.

Pretty good actually. Utd's players had 3 things on their "to do" list. Beat Citeh, get to the Cup Final and slack off for the World Cup. Must be hardly any Utd first teamers not set for Russia this summer.

So, a tidy win in our first game of the season. Wicket must have been a bit tricky with the 40 wickets going down for a total of less than 900 in less than 3 days if you discount the time lost for rain yesterday.
