Who knows, they are both the type of player who always has and probably always will lack consistency. They'd probably both be just fine as bit part replacements in Top 8 sides. I believe I said so at the time of transfer speculation about both of them. In the case of Lemina, Juventus don't sell players they want to keep unless the price is ridiculous. Saints need to learn from Lemina, Gabbidiani and Hoedt about "available" players from top Italian sides.

Sell Van Dijk last summer, spend the money on good players, don't sack Puel and replace him with someone who had no credentials for the job. See how easy it was....

But as Bournemouth have no pressure upon them whatever Saints fans do won't make a jot of difference to them. They're professional footballers who've seen it all before, coming to the end of what has been for them, a successful season.

That's probably why there are no british refs at the World Cup this year. British refs have a tendance to interpret the rules after their fashion. They do not apply the rules as they stand in many instances. It keeps the game flowing on occasions but it's a constant source of controversy.

I see that the Russians are now putting it about that they told the coalition where attacking wasn't an option. It also transpires that the French Cruise Missile Destroyers firing systems malfunctioned for 2 of the 3 and they only sent 3 missiles instead of the planned 8.

Looked like a bit of a slog for our bowlers in the afternoon though, then Surrey just sort of collapsed when Dawson got amongst them. Berg is on impending maternity absence I think they said on the radio.

Indeed I saw nothing from last nights game that gave me much hope of winning against Everton or Swansea. Bournemouth might be dfferent. Must say that if Vardy was still as sharp as he used to be we'd have gotten tonked yesterday.

Ah OK. Had a look at oddschecker and I see that West Brom, Stoke and Saints are odds on for relegation with almost everyone (or with everyone) and all the other sides are not. Seems that they've made up their mind in the main. I mean no-one is going to wager a thousand £ on West Brom avoiding relegation to win a quid if a miracle happens are they. I see that there are some 4/11 and 2/5 odds on Saints as well.

Isn't 4/9 shorter odds than 4/7 ? It means that you'd have to bet 9 units to win 4 rather than 7 units to win 4 doesn't it ?

Perhaps it's not that simple. Top quality CBs cost a lot of money, why that Van Dijk bloke went for about 70 million or so and young bucks like Laporte are 50 million apiece. There are also only so many to go round and when United and Citeh just have to have at least one more than they need, demand exceeds supply.
