Breaking News....Officially in a relegation battle
Window Cleaner replied to davefoggy's topic in The Saints
No, I think he was adequate and should have been left in place to see what could be done without the extra games of the Europa League. If we'd had someone of some distinct quality already signed on bar the shouting then maybe it was worth the risk, but to sack him and then sign this no mark was just really, really irresponsible. -

The f*ckwittery which has brought us to this point was the irresponsible sacking of Puel with just a makeweight 4th or 5th choice manager to replace him. What Reed needs to learn is that you never, ever pay attention to what fans think when running a football club when you've just had a very acceptable season. -
If you say so, I know nothing about him except that he's a bit part player at Leicester.
-
Could be, Jardim said today that he doesn't want to sell anybody. So that's an "up that bid significantly before we even think about it" then. More tha 20 million euros for Carrillo just has to be a p*ss take though.

I don't think protests work/I'm not interested in them.

Why on earth do you think he'd resign. He has a contract until 2020 or so. If he wasn't up to the job then we shouldn't have appointed him in the first place. Fixed term contracts work both ways, there is normally no resigning and no sacking without full compensation. -
What's wrong at Southampton FC? Same as pretty much always, don't have a serial goalscorer who'll get you a goal out of nothing much and exactly when you need it.
-
You're probably right but I guess we'll just have to wait about 18 months for the accounts that show just how much we actually got.
-
He had an injury but he was on the bench on Saturday last, didn't play though. Perhaps as Falcao is back today Carrillo is either allowed more recovery time or on his way out.
-
Perhaps if Redmond had played against us in the FA Cup he'd have got a hat-trick as well. My, were we crap that day.
-
So how much has he taken out so far then ?
-
So a good bit of business for Hull when all's done and told then.
-
But probably not at Marseille and certainly not at Lorient.
-
Negociations failed abysmally ? Why just not write we weren't prepared to pay as much as Everton because that's probably all that was in play here. Something that we've probably got quite right in my view.
-
Lemina is a bit of an enigma really. Don't know about his time at Juventus but at the OM he wasn't an ever present. Think he's played about 140 games in total at the age of 24 and change. When you think that even JWP is pushing 200 at 23 or so it makes you think about it.
-
Money I expect. Don't know how well they pay their bit part players at Monaco. The stars get huge sums, not sure about the also rans.
-
My daughter's fiancé is an Everton fan (see you can't choose even that) and he's in the BfS out brigade already. Doesn't like hoofball, at least there's that I suppose.
-
Didn't really want to sign him for any serious fee myself. If a loan wasn't possible then we're probably better off doing nothing in this case.
-
Tell some of their supporters that......Might do well to tell some of their players as well.
-
Hasn't the period for free Windows 10 upgrades recently expired. Ah well there'll be another version along any day now then.
-
It would seem so yes, perhaps Arsenal aren't willing to go down that road though.
-
Was not Les quoted recently as saying that we were hopeful of getting him? Or was that just made up or even a figment of my imagination?
-
Not in the Monaco squad for tonight's game so that could mean something (or nothing).
-
Kane I don't know about, Son, well I doubt either of them could run fast enough to catch him. Kane is just getting the final touches just now, it's Son that's doing the damage.
-
Well considering Jardim could probably stroll into most manager's jobs anywhere I'd guess that they want to keep him fairly happy. He's done a top job at Monaco despite continual player sales.
-
Oh Barry, doesn't he have some sort of multiple personality disorder? That's probably just him talking to himself in various guises.
