Oh Barry, doesn't he have some sort of multiple personality disorder? That's probably just him talking to himself in various guises.
-
Carrillo had some sort of minor thigh injury a couple of weeks back, he was on the bench on Saturday but I don't think he played at all. Jardim then went on about the lack of point strikers in his effective and went as far as suggesting that Carrillo and Falcao could be involved in their game against Nice tomorrow. It's confused I see but that's the exact situation right now.
-
Not really, Monaco have a target man crisis and Jardim won't let Carrillo go until Falcao is fully fit. He was moaning about lack of a real number 9 only this sunday.

They're playing Utd, they'll get stuffed, with Hughes, Lambert or whoever in charge. Stoke's board know that that game is probably lost anyway so it just doesn't matter.

Cricinfo actually .. Still Vince snicking behind, well you're on a sure thing with that usually aren't you..

J-Rod reported to FA over remark to Gaëtan Bong

Steady on, that must be regionalphobism (or something like that) :) -
Seemingly quite a few

Psychiastrist ? What most of them need is a good old fashioned kick up the backside. Used to work wonders and was totally cost free.Perhaps that's why so many clubs in difficulty are turning to old school managers of late. Footballers seem to need to be mollycoddled, tell them they've played well when they're really crap etc.Look at Luke Shaw, snce Jose got on his case publicly last season he's done a bit better, still not what he was but better.

What got us those good seasons was the foresight of Cortese in appointing Pochettino, maybe he just got lucky on that. Pochettino developed everything that we were for 3 or 4 seasons, then the same old, same old got control again. Koeman wasn't that good a manager, as his laughable failure at Everton this season has shown. Pochettino had a group of youngish players and he (and his team) helped them to be all that they could be. He's doing the same at Spurs or so it would seem.

Well as k is next to l on most keyboards I expect he means stock piling.

Stephens is 24 at the end of the month, prospect time is wearing on. VvD is 26 isn't he?
-
Really doubt that we'll get Carillo as of yet. Falcao has been injured since December and Jardim won't let Carillo go at least until Falcao proves his fitness again; Anyway Carillo limped off injured the other evening and was on the bench against Montpellier yesterday. Is expected to be in Monaco's squad for Tuesday's game, against Nice again I think. Looks like Walcott is part of the Arsenal squad at Bournemouth today as well, interesting to see if he gets any game time.

Out of interest does anyone have any idea why Hojbjerg is continually preferred to Lemina ? I don't really rate Hojbjerg, never have, never will probably and Lemina is a far better player.
-
We'll have to play really well to only concede 3 goals though.
-
Looked that way.

And as Everton have just got 15 million for a player contributing absolutely zero plus losing a big salary, once again for zero contribution, the price won't make much difference to them. Effectively they'll have swapped a player sitting in the stands these last months for one with something to offer..well in principal anyway. It's like if we could sell Gardos and get a new set of curtains for the boardroom or something.
-
Well isn't that what I've just said ? So I'm not mad then.. You're right though. people seem desperate to sign "big names" who are at the end of the line. We should be looking for another Mané type player, same price range would be handy as well.
-
At those prices and salaries I think I'd pass on both of them. Try to find a younger man with a bit more oomph left in the tank. Theo looked a bit light on pace in the Cup game against Norwich on a couple of occasions.
-
The thing is, as defenders get better and better blokes like Hernandez will have less and less effect on games, especially as they approach 30. Football has become very much a young man's game and the old adage of footballers approaching their best at 27/28 is just not true any more. With most top players playing 40 games a season from the age of 18 or 19, including internationals of course, some players are finished at 28 nowadays. Too many international tournaments every summer, didn't used to have all these high profile international cups for unders categories.

Burnt out, will probably opt for the easy life at the MLS.
-
And as I said the other day is now playing what must be Hampshire League standard football in the north somewhere or other. Balotelli coming to Saints would probably p*ss off Lemina as well, isn't he tupping Balotelli's ex ?
-
So anyway. Carrillo limped off with some sort of thigh injury after an hour of last night's cup game with Nice. No idea how serious it is or isn't.
-
Gaitan's agent has been tub thumping of late. Trouble is he doesn't play a great deal at Atli and wants to be in the eye of his national team coach in the build up to the WC. Don't think Atli are all that keen to let him go though, hence usual agent manoeuvres.

Griffit is playing local league football in the north of France, don't know how "au courant" he'd be actually. Not seen any "big name" player from France linked with Saints in L'Equipe or anything myself.
