Gaitan's agent has been tub thumping of late. Trouble is he doesn't play a great deal at Atli and wants to be in the eye of his national team coach in the build up to the WC. Don't think Atli are all that keen to let him go though, hence usual agent manoeuvres.

Griffit is playing local league football in the north of France, don't know how "au courant" he'd be actually. Not seen any "big name" player from France linked with Saints in L'Equipe or anything myself.

Statistics are occasionally deceptive and this may well be one of those occasions. The bloke hardly plays for Monaco in the league and there are some right crap sides to score against when he does. We need to get him in on loan to see what he can offer before parting with any serious money for what may well be another damp squib. There is no conceivable reason at this time to pay a lot of money for another maybe player. Monaco paid 8.8 million for him and nothing he's done there has increased his value by an iota.

Toby replaced Lovren, Van Dijk replaced Toby. It's the way of football, continual renewal for the most part. I think modern footballers burn out more quickly than of yore, Probably due to starting younger, more injuries and playing more games.

Long is almost perpetually offside when he gets a scoring chance. Surely the coaching people must be able to do something about that. Never by that much either.

It's what happens when the front men aren't creating space to be passed into. How many times do you see a midfielder recover the ball, look up, see nothing and just slide it sideways to try to create through a different channel. Watched Everton-Utd the other day, when Pogba started going out and forward on the left it changed the whole game. Trouble with our creative midfielders and front men it that they're all a bit on the puny side. Fine artists they may well be but they've very little physical presence. Perhaps we could try Lemina out wide on one side or the other.

Don't know if it's a case of not being motivated at Liverpool. It's just that there are a shedload of players better than Sturridge at Liverpool.

Not bad at all, at least we're trying to play on the deck football. Watched some of Bournemouth-Everton and those who moan continually about our style need to do the same. It was just a horrendous hoof fest in which any decent player should be ashamed to participate.

Absolutely, just don't understand all of this negative hysteria. Mind you I seem to remember it being the same at some stage last season as well. I blame fantasy football in all of it's incarnations myself.
