Because no doubt those games were full of blokes buzzing around like headless flies kicking the crap out of each other. Boufal is a good player in a type of football which suits him. He'd probably be OK in Spain or Italy. Talented footballers who haven't made it in the Uk are legion.

Hampshire CCC 2018 Season thread.

Why oh why can our top order never maintain a solid start? Weatherley,Adams and Vince all got a solid start and then got out without moving on to the type of score they should be getting.. -

Taunton today. Good to see Crane and Berg back in the group. Dawson out injured I believe and Wood has either been dropped or is injured. Still no Holland. -
But Stoke also scored 2, and it was at the Etihad.

Great Escapes - past and present ... is this the best ?

Did the club even put out an official great escape T shirt this time ? -
Isn't Silva going to replace Allardyce at Everton ? Perhaps just a press rumour.
-
Probably because the FA have clamped down on rough play just a bit. I mean Shawcross with only 2 yellows in a whole season, that must cramp his style somewhat.

What if Swansea make up 9-point goal difference?

I suppose that Carvalhal could have insisted on knowing his fate before the last game. Then again that doesn't sound all that smart either given that his contract runs out at the end of the season anyway.. -

Really? Doesn't sound like a very smart move to me. Then again neither was appointing that American idiot Bradley so I guess this must be considered as par for their owners. -
They also have Amavi who, if I recall correctly, was a total waste of time at Villa.
-
I think he knows that. His point must be that some of Citeh's youth products are vastly overated, thus them getting very little game time compared to expensive imports. Are there any City regular first teamers who've come through their academy or whatever ? I see only buy ins.

Relegated Teams - Players who would you buy from their Squads?
Window Cleaner replied to le_tiss's topic in The Saints
Certainly not. Wasn't good at Spurs, inexistant at Stoke, back to whatever continental league he came from methinks. What can possibly be the point of a CB who's weak in the air and can't tackle? -
Didn't ever see what people see in him anyway. Leicester got mugged off for a bang average player who's main attributes must derive from some Fantasy Football scenario or other.
-
Like who then ? Don't see many young players who don't play regularly for City. Anyway I really don't see the Saints side that have fought back from the brink these last weeks capitulating against City. Think we'll beat them myself.
-
Might as well give the money to some good work or other. The bookies already have enough free gift money.
-
I know nothing about him. However when you look at all of the dross signed from France by the likes of West Ham, Newcastle, Sunderland etc you just have to be watchful. Good players in conditions that suit them but many just aren't adaptable to the pace and aggression of the premier league.
-
Toulouse are absolute rubbish and all of their players are Championship standard at best. We need to learn from Boufal, Carrillo and Lemina. If it comes from France, is over 20 and Real and Barca don't want it, leave it be.
-
Avoid all cup runs unless we're well placed in the league. Have a very detrimental effect on average sides do cup runs.
-
Sell them to any club who has any use for them I expect.
-
But they will be so might as well not waste any time or effort over it.

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche

Monaco paid the French federation a one off 50 million euros payment (over 2 years) to sort out just the financial inequality. Their French players pay tax in France. The others don't. Falcao and Rodriguez left because the owner got divorced and needed money. Was Falcao ever transferred though, just loaned out twice maybe. If there was any sort of income tax in Monaco all yer stars of this that and the other wouldn't live there. You know that the late Johnny Hallyday wanted to be recognised as Belgian instead of French so that he could live in Monaco and not pay any tax anywhere? Didn't work so he settled for Switzerland and California. -
Reports the other day that he was going to a Saudi club or something like that? There was a thread I believe. Wasn't the final word from an ITK that it was just crap?
-
Looked pretty great. If only those of them still in possession of those awful last season's shirts could now ditch them that woud be super. They look so tacky.

But they have no control over whether Hughes gets relegated or not so it really isn't worth any consideration. Time has come to put a stop to the dripping on about relegation and the nervous nellying. We have done what was needed, be content and proud.
