  1. It's a clear 4-2-3-1 now and because of Puncheon's form and Ramirez's ability the full backs are no longer to maraud forward at all costs. In fact I'd say the difference is down to who's not playing as much as it is to who is. Fox and Davis......losses waiting to happen.
  2. Agree, Harry isn't a bad manager although many think otherwise. He'll get in there, kick some ass (or Joe Jordan will anyway in the fullness of time) and they'"ll move up the league. I'd rather have Sunderland in difficulty than a side with HR managing it. Because O'Neill, well he's only good in Jockland.
  3. Clyne makes up the count I think.
  4. I too think QPR will be too good for Sunderland, they have good players, it's just their utilisation and motivation that's not right.
  5. I made it 339 passes in the Newcastle game, counted them on me fingers
  6. The Madonna with the big boobies would be a suitable character for him.
  7. just can't remember, it was across the road from his flat when he was at Liverpool Uni, haven't seen him for donkey's years, doesn't appear on any social network either.. pity really, one of my best mates for about 15 years, we did Beechwood, Tauntons and Southampton Boys together.
  8. Friend of mine from school married a Liverpool publican's daughter, think they eventually took over the pub. Down Aigburth Drive somewhere, Victoria or Albert something like that.
  9. Saw a dead buzzard whilst out running at lunchtime, probably choked on a budgie.
  10. but that wouldn't have changed the starting XI which is what Pilchards indicated think.
  11. back in contention for the bench as likely as not. Still not sure that NA might not try a change or two, JRod to start perhaps and even Morgan preserved for Saturday looked a bit shot in the last few minutes last Sunday.. by the by, did we ever find out which player it was that pulled up in training last week ?
  12. another woeful game from the Iggles, still with a 4 and 12 or so record they'll get third or 4th overall draft pick. New coach, O Linemen needed. One good point from last night though, with Vick out and Foles being useless they've found a running back who can get some yardage.
  13. no we won't, if both games are draws wouldn"t we stay 17th on goal difference ?
  14. why would that be ?
  15. to be honest I've never seen why people rave over Tiote, perhaps i haven't seen enough of his play, every time i see him he's not particulary good at anything apart from putting himself about but with very little end product. Cabaye probably makes him look good.
  16. but you can move players out of the 25 man PL squad without moving them on to another club. Dickson is only in the squad because he has to be if we don't have a full compliment and he has an ongoing contract. We could simply just draft in 4 new players (over 21s) and ship 4 out of the current group to the stands or the development group or whatever. Fully expect the Dickson situation to be resolved though we'll probably just pay him off and let him go, Seaborne likewise. That leaves 2 places already and I get the feeling we may move KD on too. So we'd just have to shift one more player out if we're looking at adding 4 and I'm thinking either Butterfield or Reeves.
  17. probably why they came undone after 80 minutes then.
  18. Don't know if he goes down easily by intention, Gaston is a pretty tall bloke and from looking at him I'd say he might have a bit of a high centre of gravity. Thus even if he gets a tap on the ankles when he's going forward he'll probably go ass over tit. Then again he is a Uruguayan
  19. he thinks he did and from just the above photo I'd tend to agree with him because it's not just about feet. If 2 players have their feet on the same line but each is leaning forward in the direction that they're playing the attacker is offside. Little known fact perhaps.
  20. decision that stated being "nearer to an opponent's goal line" meant that "any part of his head, body or feet is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent. think that should clear it up, JRod knee is evidently nearer than any part of the Toon defender's body(arms don't count) so at that instant he's offside.
  21. Extremely unlikely. Deschamps seems to prefer players playing in France unless they're global names with a long history of previous selections. Capoue,Sissoko,Matuidi and Gonalons are probably no better than Morgan but Deschamps and his people see them more often. You only have to have followed the recent episode concerning Phillipe Mexes to know that DD doesn't like looking far afield unless the players are in the CL.
  22. Pardew has obviously got him rattled.
  23. don't call lambert stupid, you'll rattle Roger's cage
  24. do what, we swapped him for Tommy Forecast. Must be a great keeper.
  25. ooh sounds like Dave's got an agenda
