  1. Don't see it, we'll probably not subsidise his salary to anywhere near the extent and club willing to take him on would want. Might go out on loan to a lower UK league later in September though at a huge cost to us.
  2. I see that Origi has gone to Wolfsburg then and I did read that Ziyech is about to sign at Borussia Dortmund .
  3. Who's likely to take him though, seriously ? Bloke just hasn't played more than a handful of hours in over 3 years. Seems to get injured a lot as well, who's going to take a punt on that really.
  4. Boufal been dropped by Morrocco then ? That'll not please him for sure.
  5. If they were interested they'd be putting in at least reasonably serious bids already wouldn't they? Neither of them would seem to want him overmuch. He's toxic and will need to re-prove himself before any club other than Liverpool seriously considers giving us a lot of money to obtain his services.
  6. He's not all that young really. 24 in December I believe, I mean that's not an old crock but in today's footballing world of 19 year old superstars, 24 is mid-career.
  7. because it's complicated. Inter don't seem to have the 7 or 8 million that's required and are after a loan. Caen don't mind that as long as it's an obligatory purchase deal in the end, ie Inter have to buy him next summer and can't back out in any shape or form. I suppose that all needs some solid negociation to make sure that nobody can welsh on any agreement at all. All that's the official version, now that Inter can't find 8 million would surprise me and I'd guess that they want to test and try before they buy as the old saying goes. Some of these lads have a despicable attitude and the antics of Karamoh's entourage might just go to suggest that.
  8. It probably would be stupid yes but I don't think he'll be moving on this window, it's too late and I don't think we've had any really serious bids up to now. We know that Liverpool want him but that's complicated, as for the others, well they've probably been put off by a combination of his deplorable stance and the amont of money we seem to be wanting. Other clubs will let him (and us) stew a while and then see what they really need in January.
  9. Same old problem though, inconstant and an absolutely awful attitude.
  10. Yes you're absolutely right, was getting him mixed up with Kondogbia who's in about the same situation or thereabouts. Big star in French football and then a steady downhill progression afterwards.
  11. So, not looking great for Warks, one down then, Don't think there'll be a result Surrey-Middlesex and I suppose Essex-Somerset could still go either way but with no batting points for either side. All in all quite a satisfactory round of games for Hants.
  12. Unless of course he's like Imbula, big money move to Inter, then to Stoke and now I see that he's on loan at Toulouse for the season, big step forwards, 2 giant steps backwards. Were not some keen on signing him for Saints at one time. Good enough player, lamentable attitude apparently, what can you expect from Marseille though.
  13. Oh they'll give up alright, probably would have already if it wasn't for the daft international break. Expect them to start up again come November though. I just hope he makes it worth keeping him until then.
  14. You'd think so wouldn't you. This is why I questioned VvD buying himself out for 17 million or so. Perhaps they all have crap lawyers eh..
  15. Bayern seem to be desperate enough to get rid of him them. Isn't that a bit unlike them though ?
  16. Different number that says "Can you pick him up before 11 tomorrow, we'll make it worth your while".
  17. But what about Hurn Airport. You must know what it's called if you've checked with the man on the doors surely. Hearn is a sort of Stag God in Saxon mythology I think.
  18. Agent.... All this tapping up nonsense is ridiculous, we live in a free world and if some Liverpool exec wants to tell Ox's agent what they could in theory offer him if they were willing etc then no-one can stop them.
  19. And the answer to all that is mandatory release clauses. Club can set them sky high but there is always a door if you have the wherewithal to open it.
  20. Well I think the basic process is buyer discusses with agent, names price, agent puts deal to seller and then reports required amount to buyer. Only when the sides are fairly close do the official written bids start coming in. It's an informal process in the main. That way each side is free to deny any formal contact in case it sets a precedent and eliminates any eventual element of deniability. The world now works through back channels in the main.
  21. Obviously not, shouldn't have bought him in the first place, far too small for modern day English football in a DM role.
  22. Isn't Chamberlain somewhere with the England team at this moment ? And Lallana would have no great reason to return to Liverpool yesterday in a private jet. He's injured and they have no match for 10 days or so. Not that I really believe that it's anything to do with VvD but he'd certainly avoid Southampton Airport anyway.
  23. And what would he lose by sitting out those 20 games out of principal ? Even if he received not a penny of salary it would cost him about a million in salary which any club buying him in January would happily give him back especially if they got him for 20 million less. FIFPro is going to make a meal out of all of these cases that are being thrown up in the UK this summer, never have there been so many in a single window.
  24. The point here being that Vectis suggested he could buy himself out of his contract for 17 million or so but not have his registration released. That would be restriction of trade I believe. So if it t'were in fact possible to buy yourself out of a contract for relatively little then then transfer system would collapse anyway. Which is what FIFPro have been pushing for these last years. They have recently asked the European Commission to look into the legality of transfer fees once again. It may go on for years again but so did the Bosman case.
  25. Thing is that at window close minus 36 hours or so and most gifted players on international duty somewhere or other, last minute transfers will need a bit of logistical prowess. Can see private charter jet people making a few swans tomorrow. Strange situation with a transfer window close right in the middle of a WC qualifier fortnight.
