Wills and Kate - Be Careful!! May Offend!
Window Cleaner replied to miserableoldgit's topic in The Muppet Show
Probably got a night on the town planned after the reception and then straight down to the ground for a few beers before the game tomorrow. -
GEORGE III talked to trees you know, even had one cut down and brought to the breakfast table so that he could finish his conversation with it;

Whilst not having any idea about the background facts I must say that it wouldn't surprise me if is a some sort of concrete base for these allegations. France is over-run and you only have to look at any U13s team to know that. You could find plenty of junior club sides in the suburbs of any large town without a single pure French origin player. The French are beginning to show their distaste of this by various means and the fact that the National Front candidate is credited with about 28% of first round voting intentions for next year's presidential election is not a product of pure hazard.Pro clubs are literally recruiting in Africa very young players rather than taking the time to look about amongst the existent population. These youngsters despite obtaining the nationality then accept the overtures of their parent nation for international honours despite all the time effort and money the FFF has put into them.Blanc has said that he doesn't want that to happen any more and any player not committing their future to the French cause at an early age will not be considered for selection.

I don't even know if they make a profit, the Louvre probably does well enough to finance all the structures that are attached to it, the inaptly names Palais Royal which only served Louis XIV for a short while (it was built for Richelieu) is used by the offices of the conseil d'etat and Versailles has enormous upkeek costs, true it provides a great deal of employment though. You'd have to look it up,doubt whether they make anyway near 190 million euros a year in profit though.

Have a look and see just how much of the income from the Duchy of Cornwall the Prince of Wales puts back into the system.
-
We'd have to buy Stephens from Oldham first though.Would depend on how much they're asking I guess, and what other offers he might have...well if you look at the Sun anyway.
-
Belgium has a monarchy, no government though. Can't remember who actually is running the place these days, civil service I guess.
-
Stephens said when he joined the club that as far as he knew it was just a loan for the time being. Didn't mention any option.

EJ200's made in Bristol ?? Didn't know that. -
Copycat wedding?? Very popular . I live quite near to the village church, don't think it does weddings though only funerals. Bloody bells ring 3 times a day in accordance with the old mass times, even though they only have 1 actual mass every 3 or 4 weeks or so.They say that it's 'le rythme de la campagne' telling people to go to work at 7am, knock off at midday and again at 7pm. Everybody work in the towns round about though.Office hours.

The much Maligned Rickie Lambert this season

no of course not, what I'm trying to say is that someone with a bit more athleticism might get on the end of balls that go begging across the face of goal and turn horrible stalemates where we have 50 chances and no goals into 1-0 wins. -

What I reproach him of late is something you can see more easily from the full 90s on Saintsplayer and the extended highlights from different angles than you probably could from most places in the stands. The number of balls played across the face of goal that he just doesn't get to. If you had the misfortune to watch any of Barca-Real the other day you'll have noticed Messi's first goal, an inocous ball across the goal that he make a superhuman effort to get a touch on, Lambert would have been a yard or 2 short if he'd been in the same starting position as Messi.Take Monday's game,as I've said NA's piece has for background action from that game, the number of crosses that RL was a yard short on is simply staggering and to be honest there are a couple you'd have to say he might have got for a tap in if he'd made a bit more effort.Take Fonté's goal, a real effort to get his head on the ball, would Ricky have got it if the roles had been reversed? who knows. He's been doing a great job for us of late but he's not a point striker any more. -
Greer wasn't out of contract, he had a year left, Brighton paid Swindon about 300K for him.More likely than not Swindon's chairman was peeved about him getting a red card in the play-offs which kept him out of the final and reduced their (Swindon's) chances. Same thing with Austin, they could have done a similar deal to that which took Harley to Swansea but left him on loan at Exeter for the rest of this season. If Exeter should by some miracle get into the play-offs then Exeter's decision to forego a fee will be amply rewarded.

The much Maligned Rickie Lambert this season

If you say so, lacks pace and presence as far as I'm concerned, dives too much when staying on his feet might be a better option.Might change with a full interseason's rest and a full pre-season though. -
Now if I was a dreadful cynic I might even think that the club was trying to profit from a couple of factors this week-end. The Saints situation and general enthusiasm about promotion ..which is good, also the extra bank holiday and the general liesse occasioned by the Royal Moneyspinner might just prise open wallets and purses a little bit so the club won't want to miss out.No point in letting other enterprises profit from the ephemeral feelgood factor and miss out yourself..

Not saying he won't do OK, I'm saying we should get someone ...well like Simeon Jackson to buzz around the box and make the most of a lot of the work Lambert does -
Relegate them to League 1, it will give the Brentfords,MK Dons and other tinpot clubs someone to despise for no apparent reason when we're gone.

Just been watching Nigel's pre-match piece on the OS, the background video is a lot of slow motion footage from the Hartlepool game (rather well done actually). It's pretty evident that Lambert is a yard short a few times whereas he wasn't last season. The rest of his game makes up for it though. We should however consider someone a bit quicker for next season because there are so many chances going begging because of that missing bit of oomph.Should be kept for his link up play though. -
Never 10%, it was 1.57% at it's highest.Looked it up on the list I had.The only person to ever own 10% or more of the shares was Michael Wilde.Crouch was close but not quite.

A footballing man wouldn't have sold Paynter and Greer and would have kept Charlie Austin for the rest of this season as well. I'm sure Nicola could have given him a couple of pointers about how to keep your best players.
-
Strange that we have so many injured players, we're about 3 weeks into the season after a 7 month lay-off.Pardew doing the pre-season's is he?

Jim Davidson, now there's a comedian devoid of all political correctness. I went, dragged kicking and screaming, to one of his shows at the Winter Garden once, probably because the prospect of nooky with a hot girl who had free tickets for some reason or other bypassed better judgement, anyway, he started picking on some poor asian bloke in the front row, calling him "Snipe" and making funny of his thick lensed spectacles, couldn't make fun of the 6ft 6,250 lb anglo saxon a couple of rows down who also had specs,oh no wouldn't have suited his agenda. Horrible little man.
