In their last 5 games Dons have beaten Brighton and Peterborough, we'll see what they're made of at SMS in a while of course but they're such a bunch of f*cknasties that they worry me more than any other side left in the promotion race.If by any chance they should beat both us and Huddersfield then all bets would be off regarding 2nd place.

It's all relative though,MKD have won their last 5, who could say just how many of their last 8 they're likely to win. I wouldn't want to be in the play-offs with either them or Peterborough I know that.

If we can't give them 20 minutes or so against Bristol Rovers and ..... why would we give them any game time in the NPC against Wigan or West Ham? Schneiderlin and Chaplow will be our starting pair next season with Stephens and Hammond in reserve I guess, where does that leave Gobern and all the other kids? out on loan at Bishops Stortford and Salisbury I suppose. I'm not sure if Dean actually played fro D+R but if he did he must be really regretting his move to SMS.

Depends if he plays against MK Dons or not, they are in cracking form of late and we may well struggle against them if we're not tip-top.Plus they're one of the hardest and dirtiest sides in the country, I'd certainly take no chances with team selection against them.

Brighton's way of doing things changed when they lost Lua Lua, they even had a bit of a wobble after he got injured but Poyet managed to stabilise them before it became chronic and they moved on along their way.They will be worthy champions because they've done what's necessary all season long.

Reeves has been on the bench as midfield cover a couple of times though, he was a CM to start with.Dickson has even started games in midfield for us, left side of the diamond I think and yet he's completely disappeared from view of late, perhaps he has yet another freak injury for all I know. Richardson could play right back and allow us to move Butterfield forward,he's done a decent job there before for Palace.

Scored a very nice goal though, should have been our winner as well.

Chambo might get some pretty harsh treatment from MK Dons anyway.Might not be the end of the world if he had to give up his place to a bigger stronger player for once.

McNish, Gobern,Reeves,Dean !! What is the point of these lads being here honestly; They're just wasting their time seemingly. I know Gobern has had a couple of runs out and let himself down a bit with a half baked tackle but is he not good enough to see us through until the end of the season at least? He's one match left on his suspension and as far as I know neither Hammond nor Chaplow will be unavailable for the next match. We have players in our squad who don't even make the bench like Dickson and Richardson hardly ever gets any game time now.I just don't understand why we needed a loan player so desperately that's all.

I was expecting that we use our much vaunted development squad in some way to cover the absences of our regular players. All this signing says to me is that players we have on our books and have been trying to bring on for a few years now are total rubbish as they can't even be trusted with a game against Bristol Rovers or Walsall.

Which is why I say that now is not the time. This lad is just a loan.

And then you read the post from the Oldham fan, not gritty, not a runner, not a tackler more like a 5ft 6 Gerrard,except that Gerrard is 6ft 2 and can handle himself.You don't know who to believe really.

I see that Oldham have replaced him with a loaner from Blackburn and that Bournemouth have a 21 yr old midfielder from Citeh for the rest of the season.

No I don't,we shall see as I say,he's got 10 games to prove himself good enough for the NPC and then we'll know. I really worry that we're not taking our impending accession the NPC seriously enough. We're going to have to spend money you know but now is not the time. Thus it's a loan deal for Stephens and will probably be nothing more.

I looked him up on the Oldham OS, he's 21 and measures 1.69m (that's about 5'7" I think) I'm not a big fan of all these pocket midfielders really.

bit of discrepancy there with reference to age and height at least..

Let me say this one last time it's 6 goals and 4 penalties. If you added 4 pens on to each of our midfield players they'd have impressive scoring stats as well.

Yes they are and the only thing that would make any sense for them would be for us to give them some money now.

We'll have to see but I really don't think Stephens will add much to our squad either,depends whether it's just a loan for the rest of the season or a loan with a view to a permanent move.I'd much rather we waited until the summer before thinking about permanent signings.

MK Dons have just signed a midfielder from Leeds.

McCann is one of this division's champions in the card contest 9 yellows and 2 reds, must have missed god knows how many games already. Peterborough get their share as well.As NA often says you have to plan for these suspensions. Morgan and Deano have both had 1 match already, Chappers would no doubt be way past 10 if he'd started back in August because he gets a yellow every 2.5 games or so.
