  1. Well I never
  2. Chaplow booked....told you so.
  3. We're wasting too many chances again.Hope we'll sink one before the end though.
  4. I really don't see what other team we might have played.Stephens instead of Gobern wouldn't change much.
  5. This is why we need another CB for next season.
  6. Jaidi gifts them a goal.
  7. Sounds a bit drab
  8. Would still leave us needing to win all of our games to be sure of promotion.
  9. Why would that happen then? He'll be whining on about 4-4-2 any minute now.
  10. you need to change the frequency then, look on their website for details
  11. I'd bet on Chaplow getting booked, don't think we'll have anyone sent off though, they'll have been warned by the manager.
  12. Brighton have the same side out as they had last week. No weak XI then. Just Greer who's still suspended, other than that they're at full strength.
  13. Perhaps we're not going to keep Stephens, perhaps he isn't fully fit.
  14. it looks like a very aggressive selection. Hope it pays off. Depends on Brighton's line up I guess.
  15. I thought that NA said "he's close" when asked about Lallana in this week's build up.Should never have played him against Rochdale (IMHO of course) especially as we lost anyway.
  16. I'd expect NA to go bonkers with any of our players who gets sent off today. We have one of the best red card records in the division and a 3 match suspension is just something we don't need right now.
  17. I don't think he's even right anyway. We lost 9 last season...all down to Pardew of course, we've lost 10 league games this season, 1 Pardew,2 Wilkins and 7 Adkins (even if you count the MK Dons loss as down to him) Should we lose today that still only makes 8 for Adkins . The problem is the 2 of 2 losses for Wilkins (plus the MK game)
  18. Did we not lose at Huddersfield,Carlisle and Tranmere then?
  19. Tis true, today was a very important win for Huddersfield. Keeps maximum pressure on us and we have quite a few injury problems. Still a draw tomorrow should still suffice. Wish we'd played today and Huddersfield tomorrow cos we're always playing catch up.
  20. We had Dickson in midfield at the start.Whilst he may be an excellent left back he isn't a midfielder.Harding obviously was far from fit but as we had no-one else in midfield we started him anyway, lastly for me Richardson at RB is just a disaster waiting to happen with Chaplow in front of him in the diamond. I'm sure that Butterfield wasn't played because he wasn't fit thus unavailable.
  21. We didn't have the players available to beat Rochdale, it's as simple as that.
  22. trouble is I'm not really convinced that we can beat a full Brighton side with the players we're likely to have available tomorrow.Greer is still suspended, that's a bonus because they're less solid without him. It depends whether Lallana is available or not and NA was a bit cagey about that in his pre-match piece.
  23. What we don't want (as Dave would say) is Plymouth getting some vague notion that they can still escape relegation.I just wouldn't want to go there with them having that idea. Trouble is after today's result that they might just fancy it.
  24. Poyet is right, he's obtained more with less.Next season will tell a different story I expect.League 1 is about effort and bludgeoning the opposition, individual class will show up more in the NPC.Brighton will have to watch their disciplinary record next time round, far too many red cards to be consistent at a higher level. Must be amongst the front runners in our division with 6 reds in a season.
  25. It's a standard practice in football. I remember when my local team was playing Monaco in the Cup. We told the U13s to speed up the ball return if we were losing and to slow it down if we were winning. We put the fattest slowest kid (reserve team goalie for the U13s) in the area behind their goal where there was a big space before the fence. When we were 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go the lads just kept punting the ball into that area and we must have gained 2 or 3 minutes like that.
