at this moment in time I sincerely doubt that we can win this league. Of course it's a mathmatical possibility but anyone who believes that Brighton will just cave in and surrender 12 (or 13) points to us in the last 10 games of the season is probably over-optimistic.

there really can't be much question of them going out of business before the season ends,if that we're the case someone would have stepped in and bought one of their hacks,Peterborough or Brighton perhaps. These end of the world scenarios from administrators have become complete tosh, everyone knows it's not going to happen and just continues negociating the bet deal for their interests. We'll no doubt be owing them for 3000 odd tickets soon, maybe more so that will bring them in 45K or something like that.

Haven't MK Dons won 6 out of 7 and drawn 1,beating Brighton and Peterborough on the way? They were pretty mediocre up until mid February, there or thereabouts but nothing special and then whoosh they hit a hot streak. How long will it last that's the question. I'd think it's too late for them to think about automatic promotion still but they can make life difficult for the teams that still have to face them.

they play 4-3-2-1 though and it makes all the difference. If we're going to play in that same way all of the time then height is less of a problem, but as a rule we play 4-4-2 and you need some oomph in your two CMs. -

Someone will start a takeover thread I expect, should see us through from the forum match to pre-season. If however we should fail in our promotion bid summer will be just one long change the manager/sell all the players time. -
Although I think it might be better if Charlton didn't win, don't want them to start playing well again.

Not really the sort of comments you like to have on your school report card are they.Still fans can be biased I guess. -

I'm just going to wait and see what he does when he actually plays for us.He won't be first choice anyway, certainly not against MK Dons. -
The key lies in the matches between the top 7 teams. We unfortunately have still to play 3 of them, 2 away.If the better placed team(on points average/game) wins each time the points needed will be more than if the lower team wins.

20K is way way off the mark.Anyway this lad's just a loan and then we'll see where we are with what we've got already and where we're going. -

Im69 is 5ft 6 and some dust, my daughter is 1m71 and it really isn't very big.Perhaps I'm just biased because I remeber the Eamon Collins fiasco. -

why are we getting these comparisons with Gerrard, he's 6ft 3 and Stephens is about 5ft 6, how's that a similar build?? -
In fact we were good enough to win at Charlton, we did win but an incompetent linesman made a mockery of that. As we have benefited from dodgy penalties given and not given on other occasions you can't complain too much but we did beat Charlton in a better world.

Anyway Colchester have very few fans and their ticket prices are lower than ours (although they do operate a grading system for good/bad/indifferent opposition). Shouldn't even be in the same league as us. The football league should implement a minimum and maximum budget for each division. -

nobody has sold anybody as yet. Oldham are really really skint, they couldn't pay their salaries on time last month. Even a loan fee may help them through and as they have absolutely nothing left to play for this season they might as well benefit, even if it's only 50K and 2 month's of the players salary. He'll be in the shop window as well.Plus they get a player on loan from Blackburn who's probably no worse that Stephens. -

"I'd like to think so, but as far as I know it's just a loan at the moment, but hopefully I'll play games here and I can impress the gaffer. I'm delighted to be here, and I'll just take every game as it comes because it's a test for me, but a good opportunity too, so we'll see what comes of that. Where's the ambiguity there then? -
Coventry won't be relegated this season, they have a 7 point buffer with 8 to play.

He's not a purchase, for the time being it's a short term loan, no option mentioned whatsoever.I suppose if he proves himself with us and the management think that he could move up a league with us then we'll see about a permanent deal. Probably cost us some sort of loan fee though 50K maybe. -

As I said yesterday then just loan until we see what he can do. -
MK Dons will probably crush Walsall and Peterborough will probably just win.

must be a bit of a nutjob then. Unless of course he's hoping that they go bust and he could pocket the £125000 as a signing on fee. Surely Fulham could give them the money and loan the player back to Argyle for this season and even the start of next. Similarly those clubs in our division who would most benefit from Argyle not going out of business could do the same if they felt so inclined. A story that hasn't really been thought through I think.

We had Dyer and Surman to sell though, plus if I remember correctly we had a few people willing to put their hand in their pocket to tide us over.Plymouth have been living this situation for months now so they're further down the road to ruin than we were and all their saleable assets are long gone.Their crowds are abysmal compared to those we were getting at that time as well.

Depends if Bournemouth's new signing from Citeh adds anything to their game, depends if Symes is fit at any time soon as well I guess. Think they've lost all 3 games since he's been out.
