  1. No doubt but for how much ? More than he could be sold for ? I really, really doubt that.
  2. Player can't be loaned out against his will, unless it actually says in his contract that he can, which won't be the case here I'm sure.
  3. We are contractually obliged to let him train, we went through that with Puncheon, it's called restriction of trade. He can be made to train on his own, training with the lower age groups is a bit tricky, you aren't allowed to humiliate him in any way or ostracise him. Anyway all of this will depend exactly what his much famed contract actually states, could be that he can't be made to play in the unders or train with rhe ladies.
  4. Not even probably, they won't qualify.
  5. And with every day that passes his value sinks. If he's willing to hold out for a season, and let's face it the Dutch have no chance of being at WC 2018, he'll be worth coppers and we'll have lost out big time. Holding on to a player who's determined not to play for you is suicidal if said player is worth hoards of cash.
  6. What would he care about that. Clubs can impose a fine of a maximum 2 week pay on players, don't know if the fine is renewable though. Van Dijk has more money at the bank than the club possibly and will gain a whole lot more when he's transferred.
  7. Spot on, this is what needs to happen illico. We take a massive profit and he gets the level of football he wants.
  8. Yes, I listened in on Radio Sussex, don't know why it seemed to work better than Radio Solent. Their commentators seemed to be of the opinion that they bowled pretty well and couldn't quite decide if the pitch was helping them a bit, didn't seem to be the case when Hants bowled though. Briggs obviously thought he had something to prove and duly did. Still, hope we're in better nick against Essex later on, they too need a win, as did Sussex.
  9. Very poor performance from Hants yesterday, hope it's just a one off blip. Batting dire apart from Alsop who got bogged down a bit as well. Bowling nowhere near tight enough considering the poor total Sussex had to make. When you're defending 126 you really can't have your lead bowlers giving away 12 an over, although we may have just written the game off after our innings.
  10. Didn't get any better, probably a game to forget.
  11. Gung ho batting not working today, 30/4. All caught.
  12. But you have to admit that if the player is visiting Staplewood we must have permission from Swansea to try to entice him here meaning that we've agreed a fee with them. Seeing that they supposedly turned down over 40 million from Everton that would be serious money for us. Don't see where we'd get it from otherwise.
  13. If only it could mean that the buy out is going through and we're buying players of serious value. Can't quite see how we'd finance 40 odd million otherwise. Unless.....................
  14. And how much were Swansea saying they want for him? Wasn't it about 45 million ? Perhaps it's a homonyme.
  15. He won't go at that price and we'll see what happens afterwards then. Everybody should be content with that solution. We keep a player we don't want to sell so we're obviously confident of the outcome.
  16. Don't see us getting 75 million for him. 50 million or Liverpool will probably move along to other targets, if they haven't already..
  17. We didn't get 15 million for Victor, think we got about 12 and had to hand Celtic a slice of that. Barkley is different, if he wants to play WC 2018 he'll need to perform this season, England aren't short of candidates in his role. So either some other club pays whatever Everton actually want for him or he'll have to back down and play for Everton.
  18. Wasn't he sacked because his kind of football didn't please the fans. If so it just goes to show that the club is run by idiots. Only finishing 8th, well that's at least a reason, not pleasing the fans isn't.
  19. I think Spurs probably want to be sure of being able to offload Sissoko before buying any other expensive midfielders.
  20. Well then they should be beware. ENIC and Tavistock are far solider than any fly by night Asian that they're likely to get as an owner. I really don't see that Lewis and Levy would have any interest in selling.
  21. Why ? Their owner is already of the mega rich of this planet.
  22. Don't think we're really a club that takes a great interest in having players on loan from other prem clubs. Was Bertrand the last one ? Seems that Everton have already offloaded a few players, I think that so far they've got more in than they've paid out and there's still Barkley to go. Perhaps not on salaries though, then again they have a new sponsor, no doubt a fix up by their owner, who's giving them far more than Chang.
  23. Not Latin but that would be an act of Nemesis, Greek Goddess of Retribution
  24. Don't really see Liverpool persisting with this. The price is too high and we don't want to sell anyway. So they've either to make Klopp get along with Sakho, which in my view is the most sensible option, or find another top CB available for a reasonable price. My money would be on 40/45 million for Varane.
  25. West Ham have had a bid of about 24 million for Arnatovic accepted apparently. He is so a typical West Ham player.
