Three pieces of advice for the new owner
Red and White Army replied to saintbletch's topic in The Saints
1. Irrevocable lifetime bans from the ground for alpine saint, um pahars, StRobbie, Stanley, StMarco and all the other losers who prefer to play boardroom politics than support the team. 2. Retain Wotte and the current crop of youngsters 3. Start comunicating with fans now - the first message said nothing, and we don't even know who is going to end up owning us or what their plans are. Manage expectations now, don't let it drag on. -
Even if it means Saints in League 1?
-
I don't like the idea of retiring shirts, too sad and American for my taste.
-
This universal outpouring of joy is pretty amazing. Consider the facts: 1. We have no idea who our owner is. 2. We have no idea who the manager will be. 3. We have no idea who the players will be. 4. We have no idea about whoever has taken us over's short or long term plans. 5. The only communication has been a Mike Wilde-style letter The takeover isn't even complete, and one has to wonder exactly why it took this long - is the new guy really committed to Saints? He might be, he might not be - I hope it is the former but nobody has any idea. So why the outpouring of joy? The other bids might easily have been better for the football club and fans, but this one was the best for the creditors. I don't know one way or the other but history has taught us Saints fans that dropping your pants and jumping into bed in delight without knowing the full details is fraught with repercussions down the line.

Let's be fair - he said absolutely nothing concrete at all in several paragraphs, apart from a lot of patting on the back for himself. To you, that might be excellent communication but to me it is anything but.
-
Fingers crossed! I hope this is the real deal - we as fans have NOTHING to go on at the moment - no knowledge of the backer, no knowledge of his business plan, football plans or indeed anything at all of substance. I hope this is a new dawn, and I wish Tony all the best. I'll reserve the cheers until there is some evidence this is not Mike Wilde the second! Once again, best of luck Tony!

What the hell are Skate scum doing on this board? ban the blue few.

To be honest, I doubt there are many who will be shedding any tears over anything to do with fat fool Jackson dropping out.
-
Ummm no - Fry has NOT said this for the last two weeks. I seem to remember him saying a takeover was very unlikely not too long ago. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8055407.stm

Isn't this 99% likely to be utter BS? Much as I hope someone is on the verge of saving our club, it puzzles me how this has come from nowhere.

Marc Jackson consortium has moved to due diligence.
Red and White Army replied to derry's topic in The Saints
There is so much mis-information and guesswork on this thread. First of all, the 500k was never to do due diligence - the money would have guarenteed someone a period of exclusivity. Some breathing space for a credible bid. I seriously doubt there will be anything in the books/accounts which surprises any credible bidder. We are not that complicated, and Fry and his team will have a complete picture of our assets, liabilities and future commitments. These will have already been made available to anyone wanting to bid. Due diligence is about confirming their are no hidden nasties, and the information you have been working from is in fact correct. I would suggest there will be no surprises for anyone opening up our books in the due diligence process. Finally - on the subject of a Marc Jackon led consortium - all I can say is that I hope it doesn't scare off any real biggers. I have zero confidence in that fat fool to pull any bid off - he was made to look a complete idiot at Bournemouth and his own consortium ditched him. He strikes me as being well below average intelligence, he has no money and I think he is just a chancer trying to take a cut. If he pulls it off - fair play - but I hope neither the administrator nor a proper bidder wastes time or money because of him. -
Once again Stu confirms he is a piece of sh1t, the very dregs of humanity. The world would be a better place with pr1cks like him.

Did the "Lowe Boycott" Damage the Chances..
Red and White Army replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
This is completely true and anyone denying it is a retard. I have been saying the same all along - sadly now I have the club that alpine saint and Stanley deserve. That sucks, and I hate them with a passion because of it. -
Time you were banned, arsehole.

Saints buyout deal hangs in balance
Red and White Army replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
You wanted admin, you got it - now you can't complain about someone else being in control of our future. -
Is Minus 25 points a possibility next season?
Red and White Army replied to dubai_phil's topic in The Saints
Phil - are you involved - tangentially or otherwise - in any bids? I think there should be full disclosure of anyone with any interest (other than our shared interest as fans!) spinning this kind of thing on here. -
"Fans" like you and alpine saint, it is any wonder we're in this position now I wonder?

I will take anything apart from number 7.

I'm not sure I wouldn't want Saints to fold rather than the agony of a another season with a complete muppet like Marc anywhere near the club. He is a buffoon and I just hope any bid he is involved in doesn't involve him being anywhere near St Marys in any executive or administrative role.

It is his job to get the best deal for the creditors remember.

It shows the utter contempt that Crouch has for Lowe and Wilde, and how he was prepared to deliberately make them an unacceptable offer, leak it to the press and get their backs up. No wonder they did not feel inclined to discuss anything further when he engaged in despicable behaviour like that. If he hadn't started from an insulting and mocking offer then there might have been a chance of coming to a mutually acceptable solution - but Crouch chose to make a token offer that could not be accepted and leak to the press for his personal benefit. Utterly unacceptable and indefensible, unless your name is dumb pahars.
-
Honestly steve, you have been Crouch's best bum-chum for the past two years, none of us are surprised you would interpret this in a different way to any sane human being. :smt060 How anyone can continue to defend this kind of pointless political posturing is beyond me.

Who Else is Preparing for the Worst?
Red and White Army replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
Chaning your mind now then alpine? Realised that administration is a complete disaster, as some of us were saying all long? :axe:
