  1. I certainly hope so as gullibility is not a desirable characteristic if he wants to pursue a career as an administrator.
  2. Me too and it wouldn't surprise me if he was replaced if he can't tie up a deal sharpish.
  3. What a surprise (NOT)
  4. He did .. words to the effect that a new manager had been lined up.
  5. Interesting quote from MW in the Echo timed at 11:15 today: “But it’s hard reading people who are not making a bid expressing their opinion on the new manager they want to sign. If this is a reference to the words of a resident of a Barnet semi-detached then it confirms that Pinnacle are not making a bid.
  6. Intentional or not TL's piece does read like a valedictory so I have to agree also.
  7. It's not over till it's over and the Swiss could still win the day given that Pinnacle no longer have exclusivity. In that event all the time and money that Pinnacle have spent on the bid will have been lost and all over the relatvely trivial issue of the -10 point penalty which should be easily overcome if the promised financial backing actually exists. It still makes no sense to me business-wise I'm afraid as any concerns should have been adressed with the FL weeks ago.
  8. I agree. Fry is not in a strong position and the Swiss should be able to close the deal on their terms this week as a result.
  9. Because like many of us he took TL at his word that the matter would be quickly resolved?
  10. .. or unrest in the camp. Certainly if I was a player I'd be actively looking at my options.
  11. Pure suppostion on my part but once the original Swiss interest became known Fry may have given his previously preferred bid 24 hours to come up with the deposit or else and, if previous rumours are to be believed, Pinnacle then had to rely on Leon Crouch to provide much of the requirement.
  12. There will be no reason for this so long as the Swiss present themselves as a credible and professional outfit.
  13. Does that mean it's Pinnacle or nothing? What about the Swiss interest?
  14. What's in it for MJ to run a story like this? The only impact it has is on the remaining few true Pinnacle believers. For me the claim seems consistent with the facts and will only be dispelled if and when the deal is closed. Which has to be today surely if what credibility Pinnacle has left is to be retained.
  15. Looks the most likely.
  16. Do you know that for certain or is it just your opinion?
  17. If the Swiss (or others) can trump the current bid and stump up the £500K deposit Pinaccle will be out of it.
  18. Stress related is right. Makes you wonder if MLT is being taken for a ride.
  19. With Help Me Rhonda as his representative on the board?
  20. The FL will not want to be seen to back down today so there will likely be fudge whereby SFC is admitted to L1 and an appeal allowed at some future date.
  21. The headline confirms the issue is about the 10 points as it impacts the agreement with the creditors: • Pinnacle consortium wants to appeal against points deduction • Buyers insistent that club itself was never in administration
