  1. The FL's priorities (according to the Leeds article) are 1. The club continuing to exist 2. The payment of football creditors in full 3. The best possible return for other creditors Assuming that (2) has been satisfied and Fry has achieved (3) then the only problem for the FL is to work out how a CVA can be given when SFC is not in adminstration. And if SFC is not in adminstration then the 10 point penalty does not apply. I suppose the FL could then put the other hat on and argue that SFC is a different entity from SLH and therefore should start in the Blue Square but that would then invoke point (1) and round and round we go. Let the FL sweat this one out.
  2. According to the Echo Wotte is staying and working on a plan for spending the £20M needed to get back to the CCC.
  3. LOL! As Faz has suggested the key to this may be the FL having to explain how SFC can continue and SLH not if the two are "inextricably" linked. Hence the need for Pinnacle to sign the waiver accepting the -10 points.
  4. We know that's all nonsense but it's a technically sound argument and would explain why the FL is demanding the waiver as their position is far from watertight.
  5. The deposit was probably paid in part from funds originally suppled by Leon Crouch as we now know that he has been lined up by Pinnacle to be a director. Quite was this implies regarding the level of funding the consortium has at its disposal though remains to be seen. I agree re the 10 points issue. That must have been factored into the figures ages ago so it can only really be interpreted as a last ditch attempt to force the FL's hand. It's a pity we don't know a little more about the Swisss interest. If it was serious and they have the level of backing that you suggest I wonder why Fry didn't follow it up when Pinnacle appeared to have dropped out of the picture.
  6. If there has been favouritism as you imply then Monday could well be put up or shut up for the Pinnacle bid.
  7. If that is the case why don't they just come in and trump the Pinnacle bid? With a billiion at their disposal we're only talking small change and that's taking KK's £20m demand nto account.
  8. Not necessarily. What Crouch meant to say was that the structure was set up to avoid the football club having a penalty if SLH got into financial trouble. This seems to be a perfectly reasonable and (so far) successful arrangement and Mahwhinney is at best straw clutching.
  9. Quite! I'd even expect Wotte to make a decent attempt with that sum at his disposal.
  10. The fact remains that on a strict interpretation of the FL rules, SFC have not been placed in administration and therefore the 10 point penalty cannot apply. If however the FL are legally entitled to change the wording of their own rules and apply them retrospectively to SFC then we cannot win. Otherwise we would seem to have an excellent case.
  11. It may just be a tactical ploy to pressure the FL into reversing the 10 point penalty especially if, when they meet on Monday, the FL believes their decision is more about whether SFC survives or dies.
  12. Brinkmanship again and worth trying if the FL can be browbeaten into submission. I'd still like to know though if Wotte has been allowed to go as that would tell the story.
  13. Should Wotte cancel his emigration plans?
  14. I heard it was Michael Owen.
  15. Maybe because the manager is already in place?
  16. Best not to be too blinkered IMO. Wotte would be as good a choice as any in the current circumstances especially as the main bogey men have left the building, pre-season is here and some continuity is to be valued.
  17. Wotte is already on record as stating he's had other job offers and is now waiting a decision from Pinnacle.
  18. If Due Diligence shows no surprises then the deal should still be on. If, on the other hand, a Lowe poison pill is discovered hidden inside the books then the Principal may decide to walk away. That's what DD is all about.
  19. Charles Dance.
  20. Probably both!! Totally out of his depth.
  21. I thought it was Crouch that had demanded JP be sacked?
  22. The message was actually addressed to the poster known as SaintRobbie. Are you the same person by any chance?
