Mongs in overreaction shocker. We played a pretty strong side - apart from Jrod and Morgan, that was basically the first XI after injuries are taken into account. Is it really a surprise we freshened things in midfield given the toils of the past week and the work it is expected to do in our system? And it's not as if the players who came in are somehow vastly inferior -or at least according to self-righteous bedwetters on here. Some have been even claiming JWP, the next big thing, should be off to Brazil Guly was the one surprise; but that's vastly different from stating we put out a disgusting, disgraceful, disrespectful team or whatever is mongboard mot du jour.

It's going to be a massive shock for their yank owner who owns one of the worst franchises in the NFL (not his fault as its a recent acquisition) and has absolutely no clue about relegation. Arguably the fact that he's panicking now is a sign of that.

Only game where I think we were 'lucky' was Swansea at home. The proof of the pudding is in our GD that is up there with the Man U-Everton-Spurs group and the fact that we have the most draws in the league while dominating the possession tables. Which is to say on balance we were closer to turning draws into wins than losing from drawing positions. Admittedly we didn't do enough in some of those games to deserve the win -too little bite in the final third; but I count at least 5-8 points that we probably left on the table.

And I also live in a basement - not quite a bedsit but close enough for your purposes, pal.

Forest away was a cracker, we also took a fair load up to the Baseball Ground on the following Tuesday. Always remember the numbers swelling when it came to the proverbial business end.

Agree - got a feeling that they will do us this time and won't luck out doing so.

In honour of another mongboard romance Kraken gives Turkish receives Pull your knob out of his mouth So he can stop spouting feces.

Which includes four to five survivors of the great Dagenham team of 2010-11.

Agree - people droning on about the quality of french league football are missing the point. The kid is only 19, was plucked out of relative obscurity, that is, beggars can't be choosers and and made the transition more or less seamlessly. There's only so much you can do. Never mind that the big boys have been looking at him. If he was a French journeyman whose ceiling had been set, it would be a different. He's not.

Working us out? Total nonsense. Most teams struggle to break teams that sit back - has nothing to do with our particular style of play.

Stop being a c**t. Remember NA bringing Guly on at the siege of Elland Road later in the season precisely because he knew Guly would stand up and be counted.

Guly is a legend IMO - looked like a fish out of water when he first joined -Swindon at home in the JPT stands out. Could tell he wasnt enjoying himself in England and thinking wtf. Four years on, he says he would be sad to leave. He has his faults but along the way has contributed some vital goals and assists, stuck in there despite being a whipping boy and generally added to the togetherness and ethic of the squad. If only some more talented players took a similar leaf out of Guly's book...

Not the Dublin Castle or some other s**thole in Camden, Brett?

10 Downing Street before I had to hand my phone in. The mongboard is serious business.

Doubt it - CB Fry's wit doesn't extend beyond asking you to do Groundhog Day.

Agree. Expected more from them -on a good day, they use pace and width to good effect, though the style is still distinctly 'English'. As you say, I think their new signings have 'boxed' them in -not just Jelavic but also Long who really is little more than a huffer and puffer. With 4-4-2 the temptation is always to get the ball up earlier.
-
Agree we forced them to go longer than they usually do but they're a pretty direct side.
-
Hull showed tonight why there are so few English club managers - most play a variant of long ball that won't get you very far for very long. Hull were worse tonight than the reverse fixture at SMS where they played pretty well in the 2nd half.

Maybe Brett has an affinity for s**t names like Shane. Certainly it isnt because he's any good.

Not quite Bada Bing good, more meth whore than girl next door but still not bad.

Weren't we heavily linked with him in 2012? Would have been a good deal then as it is now.
