I was quite surprised as it logged me in with no problem and got my tickets in about 2 minutes. I thought I would get them early before the system crashes at 9.01am!

Nail on the head. One of my colleagues who is a Man United season ticket holder came into work yesterday and he was laughing his socks off and said the whole garage 'riot' was hilariously embarrassing. As already mentioned, I would put the Saints/Pompey rivalry in the same bracket as Blackburn/Burnley, Derby/Forest, WBA/Wolves, etc.

Correct, they will probably sell tickets one block at a time. -

I'm pretty sure that last game at St Marys (the win in the FA Cup in 05) that the Pompey fans were kept in for 15 minutes after the game.

Nicola wants better League Results
The Saturday Boy replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
I agree with this. Seabourne may turn out to be a good signing but why Jaidi has suddenly been sidelined? We seem to have conceded a few goals lately from crosses and corners. So why leave such a presence like Jaidi on the bench for league games? When he played in the FA Cup, he dealt with most things that came into the box. And Wayne Thomas must be wondering what he has done wrong? -
Yep, it's confirmed in the OS article that he is available for Ipswich.
-
Yep, it seems invading the pitch is the new wear a jester hat and face paint, as it appears to be mainly enjoyed by kids and people who think it's 'funny'.
-
The booking reference number should be enough and they will just ask you to confirm your name and the first line of your address.
-
Yes, that's exactly what we are saying as a season ticket only guarantees your seat for league games and not cup games.
-
I would have some sympathy if the whole stadium was open and they didn't reserve the season ticket holder's seats for them but that is not the case for the FA Cup game. I presume the group you mentioned earlier in the thread have got their own seats for the Norwich JPT game?
-
Well I'm sure the club will open further blocks of seats along the Kingsland, if/when demand dictates it. I can't see the point of moaning and groaning about it over just one game, especially as a season ticket guarantees you nothing for cup games.
-
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1894275,00.html ST holders do have a week to buy tickets (granted, there is no guarantee of getting 'their' seat) and they get a £5 discount (on the adult price) on a ticket, and yet still people find something to moan about. I'm sorry but I can't see what else the club could have done really? Why should the club waste money just so people can find out what the person who sits next to them got in the sales or where they are planning to go on holiday this year?
-
Eh? Why though? A season ticket doesn't guarantee your seat for cup games - simple. Why does it matter if they have to sit a few seats to the left of where they normally sit or a couple of rows back? Would they take such a stand if we were playing the Skates or someone like Arsenal. Why open the whole stadium when it is likely to be only around a third full? I think it makes perfect logistical and financial sense.
-
Sorry to litter this forum with facts, but they did have a week to claim their tickets - http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1879422,00.html
-
Nope, not a problem for any of the games. I'm sure ST holders had a week to claim their seats for the Norwich JPT game anyway.
-
I completely agree. I wouldn't expect Taylor to win SPOTY in a million years but was quietly confident that he would at least make the shortlist. I would vote for Cavendish as well but with it being an open vote, I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan Giggs won it or came very close to winning it.

Liam Hogan was released during the summer, so it's four.
-
This could be another shrewd move by Pardew. I'm surprised this kid hasn't made the grade at Argyle, as I have seen play twice and he looked a very talented player and scored a super long range goal in one of the games. Perhaps his attitude hasn't been right or something but I think he certainly has the talent to play at this level.
