I'd guess it gives us an advantage to keep the other team guessing because they will be more concerned about who's playing for us than we are about who's playing for them. Even if it gives us a slight advantage, it's good practice for when we're in higher leagues where a slight advantage could be the difference between a win and a draw.

A friend of mine who's a gashead told me that there was a season when he wasn't scoring but then on boxing day scored a screamer and ended up scoring loads in the 2nd half of the season. So come on the xmas dinner!

In the first half he wasn't great at all - he missed chances (but as Adkins highlighted in his post match interview - Lallana missed three he should have buried) but in the second half I thought he made intelligent runs which made space for other players and led the line well. He laid the ball off well (especially in the area where he found players with some great passes) and created two goals by keeping a cool head where others may have lost theirs. I don't think he's a striker and would be better suited playing in the hole behind the front two but we don't use that system so it's a bit of mix and match with him

It is unfair that Hammond seems to have been singled out for yesterday's dismal performance but he is still an average League One midfielder and I think there are about 5 or six teams in this league where he wouldn't get into the first 11. If we're looking to win this league or get automatic promotion, then we need better players in CM like Chaplow as a start. Hammond is still a trier and won't give up, which is why he should be in the squad and a good impact player to help see games out, but maybe not as a starting player and subsequently not the captain

probably - seeing that Chaplow has made an impact at almost every club he's been at and then bombed out after a season. I hope Chaplow does well for us and I like him, but I do wonder where he goes wrong.
