  1. Very true. Then as soon as he scores he seems to be close to everything.
  2. True though wasn't it? Great goal though.
  3. Lol at that goal
  4. Come on then Victor!
  5. Cork doesn't look good...
  6. Need to get a few earlier shots away though.
  7. Jrod as barely touched the ball.
  8. The fact Chambers played for England U19s midweek would probably come in to Mopo's decision. If I was Pulis, I'd be targeting long diagonal balls in the air towards Clyne, much like we did when Clyne played for Palace.
  9. The people in Government maybe.
  10. Bit of a jump back, but just seen this about only seeing Pompey shirts on Portsmouth. I work with children sho play football in Portsmouth and I can tell you that Pompey shirts make up- at an absolutely maximum- 35% of the shirts I see there.
  11. :mcinnes: 1. His lack of pace is an issue up front. 2. He played as a midfielder in League 1 and League 2. He wasn't that great there, hence why he didn't start getting recognised by bigger clubs until he moved up front. 3. Last time he played in midfield he was in his early-mid twenties. He is now 32.
  12. Seriously? You'd take out one of our CMs and put Lambert there? I'm pretty sure his lack of pace would be an issue. Plus the fact that our CMs are more or less both deep lying, defensive players.
  13. I've sent you a PM.
  14. Came on to post the same thing. Hilarious! How stupid do you have to be to sing about our relegation (which they were not responsible for) when we're 3 leagues above them?
  15. Though they're still hopeful it's probably unlikely due to his TV commitments unfortunately. Be good to see Franny though!
  16. I'm 24 and went to the last one, despite not knowing some of the players, it was still really interesting to chat to them and hear what the club was like back in the day! Especially those who were here in the 60s.
  17. On the other hand, having his pace to cover for our other, slower defenders could be a plus.
  18. Hi all, On Friday 21st March (Spurs away is on Sunday 23rd), London Saints will be holding an Ex-Saints 'Legends night' at the Counting House pub, London. The night will feature many former Saints players for a Q&A and anecdote-sharing session followed by a fundraising memorabilia auction and an opportunity to meet the club’s former heroes and get autographs and have photos taken. Currently confirmed Ex-Saints in attendance include Francis Benali, Dennis Hollywood, Glenn Cockerill, Jim Steele, Hughie Fisher, Reuben Agboola, Graham Baker, Manny Andruszewski, Tommy Hare, Mike Earles, Brian O’Neil, Wes Maughan and Tony Godfrey, with more to be added between now and the night of the event. Tickets for the event are available on a first-come, first-served basis, priced at £15 for adults and £5 for under-16s, and include a free buffet. Family deals are also available. Fundraising from ticket sales and the memorabilia auction is in aid of members of the Southampton Young Carers Project, with the Ex-Saints group intending to take a group of 40 young carers – who never have opportunities for a holiday or social outings as they are caring for sick or ill parents – on a trip away. They are aiming to raise more than £5,000 in total, and we are hopeful that London Saints will be able to contribute significantly to this worthy cause. Tickets can be purchased from from LSSC Sports and Social Secretary Ray Betts at Tel: 07770 363570 or Email: raybetts@londonsaints.com. I'm happy to pass on details of anyone who wants a ticket or answer any questions people have. http://www.londonsaints.com/2014/02/07/legends-night/#.UxHwB_R_taH https://www.facebook.com/londonsaints?bookmark_t=page
  19. Think our England boys will turn it on in front of Roy.
  20. Every time I see this thread has been bumped, I open it expecting to see he's tw*ted someone. Another difficult finish! Hope he keeps scoring.
  21. Just managed to watch the replays. What was Yoshida doing for their 2nd? Morgan certainly gave him an ear-full.
  22. Nearly every team in the league would take Lukaku. I don't think he's going to be a realistic target. Perhaps it is as much about the league/country a player plays in as it is the player himself. For example a player being good in Italy doesn't mean he'll be suited to the premier league.
  23. I'm sure every team around mid table could say the same.
  24. I'm sure that's more similar to where he plays for Uruguay.
