  1. You have not read my comments and tried to address the points I have made. It is not a 'light hearted comment' and being called a 'scummer' is not reason enough to insult someone completely unconnected to that incident a skate. It's prejudicial hatred and do we hate all groups of people because of a few extremists?
  2. A defeat eh? You would fukkin love that wouldn't you, you skate tit!!!
  3. Done to death but not satisfactorily concluded in my opinion and neither will it be with your attitude.
  4. Much LOL - now stop trying to big up how well travelled you are. When West Quay first opened I went to the IOW by accident thinking I was in a well organised queue for the multi-storey. One day I hope to make it to West Quay as my wife could do with a holiday.
  5. ...and Alan Pardew who thinks mid table will be an achievement.
  6. But you don't think it is odd that working for the benefit of customers of a betting site he doesn't warn them about our delayed preparation and that we may not represent much of a betting proposition until we have played catch up? I find it disrespectful that others hound one individual just because they don't like his views and make calls to the mods to have him banned as its ruining their cosy neighbourhood. Its not as though I am completely out there with regard to my views and many respectable posters have agreed with me or my right to challenge and promote debate.
  7. I wasn't judging your nephews but questioning the reaction of their Guardians on this occasion. I'm not exactly alone in thinking their behaviour should have been admonished as opposed to laughed at and seemingly with a sense of pride by posting the story on here.
  8. And as a betting site perhaps punters should be told of our lack of suitable preparation. May affect their confidence in backing us don't you think. The reason for the lack of preparation is open to debate but IMO..well I think you know. Anyway 'plank' I maybe but I'm guessing my betting accounts are looking a lot healthier than yours if you base your strategies on this type of in depth analysis.
  9. Why? So you can ignore a reasonable opinion?
  10. Interesting he doesn't feel the need to comment on the unnecessary delays we experienced during administration that have effectively ruined our chances of being seriously competitive in the early stages of the season making it most unlikely we will make the play offs.
  11. Very classy.
  12. Looking at their home stats for last year I think you are right it will be a very tough game as they quite a good record (W9 D8 L6) and had their away from been a bit better they could have easily made the play offs eventually finishing in 9th. Perhaps more worryingly they seem to have had a very good run in their pre-season friendlies with only one defeat a 1-0 loss vs Newcastle. They have also just signed a promising Man Utd youngster on loan to mitigate our new trump card. Given that Pardew is still trying to organise his squad I think it's a big ask to go and get any result tbh and I think we will be beaten. Even if we get a draw IMO that would be a significant achievement and hope they can pull it off but as things stand at the moment I'm expecting a defeat on our way to achieveing mid table mediocrity for this season.
  13. I really don't think we need or should play Rasiak. He clearly wants away and so his commitment is questionable and providing all is well with Lambert and Patterson why play him as these two clearly represent our future.
  14. One notable difference though IMO - you don't have your greatest player (whoever that may be) endorsing the bid and perhaps clouding your judgement. Whatever happens I hope Portsmouth survive their current problems as it wouldn't be the same without you. Hopefully, here's to many happy derby games in the CCC over the coming seasons, if not next, courtesy of some unhelpful delays.
  15. Exactly, all our halo's slip occasionally but two wrongs don't make a right especially when they were called 'scummers' in a completely unrelated incident. There is a fine line between good natured banter and encouraging a breeding ground for future football related thuggery and hateful prejudice. IMO laughing off a situation where an 8 year old calls a complete stranger a skate is crossing that line and wrong on so many levels not least his own safety.
  16. IMO I think there was an element of what they the organisers would support as oppose to what would really generate bigger crowds to raise the funds. No one is doubting their commitment but I to suspect there may be lessons to be learned from this that need to be recorded. Of all those who believe they speak for Saints fans in the media I find Nick Illingsworth the most fair and lucid of a fairly torrid bunch IMO. That said I'm sure he would have enjoyed the limelight had the event been a significant success as it allegedly appears the opposite was true he should comment accordingly and certainly act on posts such as Derry's above.
  17. IMO still inappropriate behaviour for an 8 year old and if they have a moral code as you state then there is no excuse to reverting to the level of the blue few in an unrelated incident.
  18. I can't believe you need an introduction to the British Banking Industry.
  19. Blimey you really do come across as someone blinded by their own self-importance. The point I am making that you cannot seem to grasp is that you have an affinity with a poster who is happy for their 8 year old to shout out insulting names to a different group of people. Given that affinity do you indulge or condone that behaviour with any children you may have in your family? If you don't doesn't it question your little show of unity as double standards? I am asking you if you condone that sort of behaviour and not saying you do or don't? Please read before your react like some righteous Daily Mail reader.
  20. I was quoting the right person MOG and based on his comment and apparent affinity you have with him as evidenced above, I just wanted to ask if you had a young family member that you are happy to indulge in their stereotypical name calling.
  21. I expect you are. What other insights will you furnish us with today with your remaining 2 posts?
  22. I don't know about that but allegedly Goldilocks may be innocent as no one considered the obvious possibility of a fourth bear. Hence the importance of questions and challenges to sometimes popularly held points of view / misconceptions.
