  1. Yes but before I do will the real Gaffer please reveal himself. One minute he is on here signing his posts as Mike Osman the next he is pretending to be someone close to Mike Osman but surely in any event someone who has links to MLT ergo probably knows the answer to his question already. But what is your question, do you want to know who the new owner is or why he won't reveal himself? Perhaps you know who the new owner is but don't understand why he does not want to 'reveal' himself because you are bursting to be first to spill the beans, is that the case? IMO some of your posts have a failed DJ sort of rhetoric to them. Please let us know who you really are you comedian, Ho Ho Ho, whatever mate.
  2. I guess it is when the anti-lowes wished he was dead or to see him swing from a hangman's noose. Give it up Ron.
  3. Need to look to China
  4. Ron I'm on about pundits who were employed on long term contracts. People like Shearer, MLT, Hansen, Townsend, Thompson, Merson etc etc etc. Career pundits not guest pundits for one off games and tournaments - that would wipe out just about most managers in the bleeding country.
  5. Nick inspect the bottle, does it appear to have been tampered with, post purchase? Just wandered if Baj and Granty have hit on a cunning plan to increase bandwidth.
  6. So did Leo Tolstoy and its the points made that count in football not how they look.
  7. Not speculation DF and a genuine question. I do not expect you to name names and expect you trust your sources as would I in the unlikely event of holding information. The point I wanted to be firm on was that one of the original investors was still in the frame and if he was or wasn't a household name. Hopefully, you can understand that if this wasn't the case then it would have appeared things may have changed quite dramtaically given the circumstances but your subsequent posts are reassuring. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. There is a difference between 'slag off', to use your terminology, and post that you wish someone would die. I don't recall any of Leon Crouch's biggest detractors saying that they 'hope he would die soon'. I guess therein lies the difference between what was the two sides. Still what can you expect when at a recent fund raising event we see pictures of a 'comedian' holding aloft a picture of our ex-chairman with a noose above his head and with an ex-manager gurning away in the background. Speaks volumes IMO and we can only pray those sort of antics are behind us.
  9. Stockists?
  10. You can have assisted trips Still I don't think you can beat Wes Tender or John Smith on word count.
  11. Sorry DF our posts crossed, I took a call whilst writing my last post so hadn't seen your post explaining the situation.
  12. Thank you DF for the clarification. One question remains though if you are saying the investor is one of the original 4 and we are unlikely to be familiar with his name how does this equate to the other suggestion that the investor is a household name or is that simply an unfounded rumour with no basis in fact? I said before I have read your posts with interest and will continue do so and hopefully you don't mind if I ask the odd question when things don't make sense to me. Your ITK crown remains in place - wanted or not! Let me know if you want a full and public apology and hopefully I haven't spiked the deal - whatever that means.
  13. Which Doggface implies is now an if by my interpretation of his post. If the investor is one of the original 4.... I am merely asking for some clarification from a poster whose comments I have read with interest. Isn't that what forums are for and if i have misread his comments then so be it but to me its not as clear as you suggest and open to interpretation. If its a question of semantics then Doggface will tell me and we can all move on. Not sure what your problem is or why the aggressive tone - demanding unreserved public apologies for what amounts to nothing more than a question. In my experience it's best not to post if you don't want to generate comment and debate so please calm yourself. If I can 'spike' a deal based on one innocent question from an interested supporter at the bottom of the food chain then the deal isn't worth saving in my very humble opinion. So stop the bullying act.
  14. In that case Nick you would assume Doggface would know if one of the original 4 was the investor because his last post does suggest he is certain they are not one of the 4 but caveats that statement with ' if it is we won't have heard of them'. Personally, if all 4 dropped out I find it astounding that Pinnacle were able to recruit another investor so quickly - presumably the household name that people refer to. I respect the fact you believe Doggface and FF can vouch for him but it seems to me that may no longer be the case and for whatever reason Doggface has had his lines cuts and is not as ITK as he once was with all due respect. Of course I could just be reading into the semantics of his last post and hopefully he will put me right.
  15. I appreciate the feedback FF but if the sole investor is one of the original four, you are both saying he is not someone we are likely to have heard off and yet other sources put him forward as a household name? Sole ownership has obvious attractions and some disadvantages (see Newcastle) so do we believe that TL is out trying to strengthen the Pinnacle bid to add to the existing investor or courting a brand new investor as the previous last man standing has decided to opt out? Worrying in either event because both suggests the Pinnacle bid is not as strong as we have been led to believe. Unless of course Pinnacle have pulled a rabbit out of the hat and secured a new sole investor after the original 4 dropped out and he/she is based on overseas. The Swiss connection is a red herring IMO unless TL is out there to link the two bids but I can't see a Swiss Company wanting to sit behind a Pinnacle Stucture but conceivable a wealthly private investor would be willing to sit behind a Swiss company structure for the club. Depends what Pinnacle want out of the deal I guess. In any event doesn't seem straightforward as it was a week ago and probably a long way from offering individuals directorships and such like as we were led to believe by Solent earlier this week.
  16. Doggface I have been reading your posts with some interest over the past weeks as someone who seemed to have at least some kind of line into the Pinnacle bid. However, I have to say very recently your crown has started to slip and tbh I find the post above bordering on the unbelieveable. You expect us to believe the sole investor is none of the original 4 who bought into the idea of buying a football club and presumably having all got cold feet Pinnacle were able to go out and secure a new sole investor willing to risk a substantial amount of cash on purchasing a football club all within a week or two? Very impressive. Sorry, but i don't buy that theory and you state that you are sure they were not part of the orginal 4 but if they were then it is likely you will never have heard of him. Him presumably being this household name? Doggface I think its time you came clean. You have as much idea about what is happening with Pinnacle as the rest of us.
  17. No but he is an enigma. Didn't make sense to me either.
  18. Most Curious.... Is Barry Hearn still the chairman at Orient? Strikes me as the sort of bloke that you have to count your fingers after shaking hands with him, very sharp - can't imagine he is ALW's ideal business associate.
  19. Is ALW a football fan. His wife is a involved with Newbury RC as I suspect her husband owns most of the land south of it - well Sydmonton and Ecchinswell i think he owns. So a happy coincidence that its Channon's home course. Also a football club doesn't seem to sit with their investment profile and appetite for risk. Bloodstock and the Theatre are fairly risky but pale into insignificance compared with a football club. Tabor is more typical of a potential football owner and has the betting connections and appetite for risk. However, isn't he a big West Ham fan and I assume they would have been interested in offers. If it is ALW I am going to be very worried about the h/t entertainment - Barrowman, Norton, Brightman, Gates, Paige. We really will become a club of luvvies!
  20. Don't suppose he is on the breadline but doubt he owns the bakery either.
  21. Mike Osman? Radio Solent could always give him the 1am to 4am Alan Partridge slot to help meet his costs. Just don't let him organise any pre-season friendlies and hide the microphones at SMS.
  22. I think the poison coursing through your veins has affected your brain and upset your mojo, mojo.
  23. TV Pundits don't make good managers and we wait to find out if they make good chairmen so why double the risk? I would prefer we stuck with Wotte than employ Shearer.
  24. You're a barrell of laughs aren't you. 'This past year has been like watching a family member brought to its knees by the disease of greed and self gain purposes of one man' Really? Who are we talking about, Lowe or your sister? Sorry for lowering the tone even further.
  25. Really? When is he replacing Pearson then?
