  1. and it means the Rwanda debacle due shortly won't be his fault and the next raft of mortgage holders won't have seen their new deals yet.
  2. Ah yes, the jovial old chap Boris - a corrupt conman who surrounded himself by incompetent sycophants, took the piss out of every single voter, lined his own pockets, destroyed our international reputation and turned the UK into a laughing stock. Thankfully his lazy arrogant stupidity found him out and hopefully a change of government will open the door for the multiple criminal prosecutions that he and a dozen or so of his inept and greedy cabinet ministers should be facing. To move forward we just need an end to this absolute rolling clusterfuck of successive administrations. Bring on the 5th July - bin day.
  3. She started with a heartfelt apology and deep regrets about what had happened. But one question in and she was suggesting her biggest sin was being too trusting. Poor Paula.

    Yeah I do. It's a lonely place.

Which side of the conflict are you referencing?
  6. It's an interesting debate about the socks, we should do more of that stuff and less about the match.
  7. I've had worse experiences on ticket sites but they do try and scare you with the 'you're not allowed in here ya bastard' message.
  8. Apparently Elland Road is a very intimidating ground that terrifies teams into defeat - possibly only second to Fratton Park as the bestest in world football.
  9. The concept is excellent, it has been used very well in some international tournaments with speedy and accurate calls and it gets crap referees out of trouble. But if you get their even crapper referee mates to run it like we do, the whole thing is a farce. I'm not sure how we've got it so wrong, but if it means not getting robbed in a play-off final, proper use of it should be welcomed. Unless of course it's someone else getting robbed, then, never mind, swings and roundabouts, you may have lost a Premier League place to a dodgy penalty but you'll get a goal kick sometime next season, so it all evens itself out.
  10. Big blow to rainbow-lanyarded Starmer today with Grant Shapps repeating an old pledge about building perhaps up to a whole new navy....at some vague point in the distant future...in some imaginary shipyards......unbudgeted. Naysaying cowardly hate marchers may suggest it sounds like a tired old plan recycled, with a 40-year timescale and costs so enormous that it would take a week to write that many noughts - but brave policies win elections! If peace-loving traitor Starmer and his terrorist-loving, union-paymaster henchpeople had their woke way we'd be reducing the size of our army, taking money from Russia, in bed with China and stuck with aircraft carriers with empty decks. Well done plucky Rishi, a political giant, leading the world in dangerous times - get him in a tank for a photo opportunity asap. A small tank.
  11. Funny how this morning she was a fantastic Tory MP but by lunchtime she was a liability and no great loss. Just desperate claims emerging from a sunk ship. Rishi, and that's your future too mate, the people loyally defending you today will shit on you tomorrow without hesitation, so brace yourself....you'll need a big boy umbrella.
  12. She's not a great signing but when you weigh up the PR positives of the Tory MP for Dover slagging off the government's immigration policy you have to hold your nose and welcome her in, especially as she's standing down.
  13. Stewart to only score one goal this season, but it'll be the biggest one.... Maybe?
  14. Why should they? They've banked the money, sold off the houses, sent us people escaping oppression in their country, they are literally laughing all the way to the bank. Next they'll be selling us magic beans.
  15. Slightly worrying that the horrific excuse for a human being Susan Hall, who ran a poisonous campaign of incompetence, ignorance, misinformation and racism, managed to fool 800,000 Londoners. These must be the people who get scammed by exiled Nigerian princes and the bloke from Microsoft who needs your bank details to fix your computer.
  16. Lining their own pockets and smugly treating the electorate with contempt is coming home to roost, but I'm sure there are good local Tory councillors who will lose their seats because of the appalling state of the national party. The last five years have seen the worst quality cabinets in living memory - blatant corruption, ministers thicker than mince, failing services, jobs for mates, peerages for failure, it's been an absolute shitshow that will hopefully just become a blip in our history.
  17. Yeah, 9 for a dessert makes no sense on any level. We are better off only eating in places that have big pictures of the food on the wall, then we can point and know what we're getting - you can even choose which can you want in the posher places.
  18. It's a bit like being 10 points adrift at Christmas. A new manager might not be able to change things from here, but to continue down the current path of abject failure would be insane.
  19. Guy who wants to go to Rwanda gets free flight and spending money - that'll smash the gangs, stop the boats etc.
  20. On reflection I'm glad we fucked it up early doors rather than leaving it until the last day - after 46 games Leeds could miss out by one deflected goal, one dodgy decision. Ouch.
  21. That was like a taster for the Premier League - Puel style.
  22. He's still targeting votes from the ill-informed and disinterested, his people - they see a headline, they believe it. Hopefully most of them stay away from Polling Stations this time rather than casually scribbling a hand grenade in the little box and damaging everyone.
  23. Master tactician rests players, tells the remainder not to worry about this match and finetunes a fired-up squad to hit the ground running for the play-offs? Would be a very optimistic way of viewing that momentum-sapping debacle.

Unbelievable indeed - because you just made it up by ignoring the rest of the post. And don't bother responding, you are clearly beyond sensible debate and bring nothing useful to this discussion. No really, don't bother. Thanks.
