I would also like a proper businessman or woman to carry out a thorough assessment of the NHS from top to bottom - but I wouldn't want someone like Elon Musk anywhere near it. His lack of judgement has lost him tens and possibly hundreds of billions of pounds in recent years, he's just a Poundland Bond villain chancer who made a killing on someone else's skills and now wants to be a presidential puppet master. Let's get a proper business person in to look at it.

Happy Christmas everyone - three points tomorrow and the miracle begins...

Another day, another classic Daily Telegraph scoop on the front page. A nice big photo of Father Christmas showing his support for Nigel Farage. Are we allowed to call Telegraph readers a bunch of simpletons who are easily-led?

Sunak and Martin.... Both of them inherited hopeless situations following a few years of mad appointments, ridiculous recruitment and appalling mismanagement, both of their tenures ended in catastrophic failure and public rejection - their replacements will find it difficult to make sense of what went before and to repair the damage. Only their mother can tell them apart.

Win today, beat West Ham, and we'll have witnessed the most miraculous thing to ever happen at this time of year.

His first job is to cancel the players' days off.

Hey guys, about that latest feeble home defeat, you all looked absolutely clueless and like you just didn't care. What's that, everyone in at 8am sharp tomorrow and watch the whole game back to analyse it as a group? Nah, have a couple of days off as a reward. Would be an insane way to tackle this week.

What situations can the fans accept with the new manager?

Perhaps there will be a golden ticket of Man City getting relegated and we just need to overhaul Ipswich and Wolves... Mathematically that is doable, and better than fighting City for the Championship next season. -
It is possible, in some cases, but there will not be mass bankruptcies in farming - it's a front page of shallow propaganda attacking all of their usual targets. They know their audience.
-
Just seen the Telegraph front page on the BBC, it's a classic. Badenoch claims that taxing farmers won't raise much, while maintaining the stance that thousands will be bankrupted. Greta Thunberg is described as a sinister activist, Sadiq Khan is destroying London, no.10 is talking to terrorists, the Green Belt is being concreted over and there's a lady, yes a lady, set to host MotD.... Every box ticked.

0-4 in a Derby match.....that rings a bell.

Why all of this detailed interest in cousin-shagging? Did I miss a memo? I thought world war, poverty, global warming and imminent relegation might feature a bit more on here, but no, a handful of you seem very keen on exploring the concept of family-fiddling...
-
52% of the people voted for all that in 2016 - so their wishes must be enforced on everyone in 2025, that's democracy.

Another question is why anyone looking for balanced coverage or facts would go to the political correspondent of the Daily Express? That tubby toff's online history is nothing but a seized toilet flush that's mixing bubbling shit and mad Tufton Street gossip, then spoonfeeding this warm and lumpy effluent smoothie into the eager gaping mouths of the simplest in society. Not a serious bringer of news, just a PR man spreading press releases from his various political paymasters.
-
It depends on how hot your cousins are. Personally, mine weren't up to much so I ventured beyond the family circle.

We've nearly got as many threads on here about the manager as we have points...ridiculous, on both counts.

Indeed, free speech - people who don't agree with equality are free to express that, but must accept that others are free to disagree, some want free speech without consequence. And Zaha was a very different case, he didn't go out of his way to not support anything, he released a very clear statement explaining his views and his continued support for equality. As for Morsy, I judged that twat (and the ref) long ago when he should have been sent off at Portman Road. I'd guess that him going out of his way not to support a campaign that says football is for everyone has probably made more people judge him. I have.

Playing out from the back is in theory a great idea, even last night when we kicked long it just came straight back. So is it the players who cannot do it without making mistakes or is the manager asking too much of them with complicated tactics? Possibly both - either way, something has to change, and it won't be the players. I think we need a plan B - and to start the season again with it in place.
-
If someone goes to great lengths to not support equality, they have to accept that many will judge them.

The laser show was nice.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
rallyboy replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
There's a new policy of processing people rather than the situation being artificially inflated as an election tool, hopefully it will reduce that ridiculous cost. Labour can be blamed for that figure in maybe 12 months time, but I think it's a bit harsh to blame them for last year. -
I'd be amazed if Trump really is going to unleash hell on everyone committing atrocities in the Middle East. It's just more attention-seeking from the orange sex offender - no way is the US declaring war on Israel next year.
-
Weird that anyone doesn't get humour. How's that apology coming on?
-
The bar was set on those decisions by the Arsenal game, and that's fine - but on Friday it was moved significantly. Massive inconsistency. Have the refs ever thought about getting together occasionally and discussing how they do things rather than putting their own individual spins on every incident? Just a thought.

Wake up Maggie, I think I've pulled my hamstring again....
