should we go all out to get nicky mayard in january ?

I really don't rate Rodriguez as a player worth £5-6mill as suggested. Apparently he wants to stay up north was rumoured in the summer along with Sharp. I expect Adkins to pull one out of the bag that we haven't mentioned, although Maynard would be brillant. -
Lallana is also on Twitter. Top lad

You just miss the one with the big thighs don't you.....

With the transfer window only being 5 weeks away I can't see us jumping in today to get Lukas unless he is THE striker NA wants. I firmly believe we will go in for Maynard in January and I think he is the right quality to come in having watched him against Millwall. People may say Maynard isn't cover for Lambert, but say RL was injured for 3/4weeks in Feb time, I would still fancy the combo of Maynard, Guly, Connolly and Barnard to score plenty of goals in that period.

Wonder if they will be waving their Season Tickets in the air?!

I don't care about them.......then again I would love for us to stuff them next Saturday. Just like Bournemouth, they are another local-ish club, that hate us purely down to jealousy from the past. I'm sure Brighton used to be our 'friendly' club for pre-season matches etc. 3-0 win next Saturday please. They are a mid-table side.

No, it has always been: 'When we win promotion, this is what we'll sing'

I can only think of one good thing about getting back in the Premier.

Keeping Adam Lallana -
Man Utd used to do it for Ruud Van Nistelrooy
-
Cork to partner Jos at the back with Hammond and Morgan in CM
-
Why don't you ask Adam Lallana himself if he is fit...he is on twitter as of today @adlallana1 As for the game, prediction is 2-1 Saints after an early Emnes goal to wake us up

What was the song to Murty from Reading fans?

I don't know what the area around Fratton is like but surely violence will still kick off after the game, as the 'thugs' may just decide to get the train back. Surely they can't be forced onto a coach home?

We were decent at Leicester and would have won bar miracle saves from Schmeichel. Yes we wern't at the races first half of that game, but Leicester aren't a bad side and once we worked out their gameplan, we countered it very very well. Cardiff we wern't exactly poor, we didn't take our chances like we have in previous games, Rickie missed two golden chances (one a sitter from 6yards) and Morgan missed a one on one. Therefore you shouldn't be worried about the showings. You aren't going to win every game, it just doesn't happen. There will be some matches when it simply isn't our day. This month isn't going to be make or break, as long as we try and average two points a game, we will be in a fine position. I fear some fans expect too much now, there will be a spell where we go three or four games without a win because every team has it during the season. Personally I don't see us strong enough up top when playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday against decent sides including being away on the Tuesday evening. Come January, add a striker to the squad and if we are in and around the top 4 we will have a good chance. I don't think we will get automatic myself, playoffs are still my goal for this side. I see us dropping off come December/January. Reinforcements in the transfer window could perhaps change this.

I like the tune but perhaps some of the words could be tweaked? Not a fan of the bieber part

Seeing as Jack has been turning in some quality performances for us and in my opinion our current best player, it's about time a decent song was thought up for him. Seeing as the Rickie song was thought up on here (I believe) let's get some ideas flowing for a Cork song and get it going at Watford on Saturday!

Would be decent to have as back-up but two things worry me. Firstly, he will want a fair whack in terms of wages which he doesn't deserve. Secondly and more importantly, he has an attitude problem in terms of his ego. I'm more than happy for him to play second fiddle to Rickie if he doesn't bring that attitude with him which could harm the 'unity' we have built within our team. Can't really see it happening. But stranger things have happened.

100% incorrect, he lives in Chandlers Ford

Is Harlee Dean a CB or Full back??

Tickets down at the office have now all been sold. If going to the game, please buy from Swindon.

He's trouble....another Puncheon

Can't make my mind up as to whether it is him or not but Neil Danns is following him so it makes me think it is him

On the way / just got home from the game thread...

Like the original post, I came away from Leicester today feeling good despite the defeat. First half we gave Leicester too much space in the midfield and Fernandes was running the show with Leicester looking like they were going to score from every attack. Second half we came out a completely new team, Schneiderlin was quality holding in the midfield, feeding Lallana who again was fantastic. Still cannot believe how one of those chances didn't go in. Connolly hitting the post, Lallana having a great looking shot blocked by the head of their CB, Danny Fox cross to Lallana which Schmeichel somehow saved, and Lallana's one on one after incredible build up play. A draw probably would have been a fair result with Leicester dominating the first half and us the second half. I just feel that if we are to challenge then we need, like many have said, another quality CB to partner Fonte, along with another Striker allowing us options up top. Looking at our bench, De Ridder was the only real impact player we could bring on today, and we need another attacking option to change games, for example imagine bring someone like Maynard on. I know we have will have Barnard back soon but he is yet to prove it in the Championship. Finally, walking away from the ground, two sets of Leicester fans walking by saying 'You've got a great team there mate, you'll go far this season'. I believe we can as long as we strengthen this week with the addition of two decent players. -
Haven't read the rest of this thread and this is my take on today's match: Thought we started off quite positively, got the goal and we appeared to settle for that one goal cushion for the rest of the game to be perfectly honest. Great save from KD in the second half to deny Millwall but we did look very tired after the hour mark which is to be expected with practically the same side playing three games in a week. After Lallana and Connolly were taken off, we lacked width and became one dimensional with not much movement coming from Lambert & Guly up top along with Fox coming inside to play rather narrow. Cork did well once again to break up the play and try to get us playing some football in the second period. Bouazza looked dangerous for them but overall I'm happy with a scrappy 1-0 win against a Millwall side who will cause teams problems this year but aren't strong enough to compete for top 6 in my opinion. The three points are all that matters, and I am confident that a well rested team this week, will cause Leicester all sorts of problems next Saturday. I fancy us to go there and get something!

Just watched it again and you have a point! It looks like it did!
