Im not massively panicking by the way, anyone who thinks we are suddenly going to implode is wrong, we are, despite the boards best efforts to claim otherwise, clearly in a good financial position, have a strong academy and some v v expensive assets to our name the dissapointment however comes knowing that potentially this was our ONLY close chance of going for top four, not necessarily achieving it but attempting it. We have a decent academy, had a good manager and a first team that has shown it was capable, a lack of depth hurt us. Losing the likes of Lallana, Shaw and Poch now will all but remove that slim chance, all down to IMO a lack of commitment to the players, staff and club ambition and thats a shame.

Ive never said he is a moron or personally attacked the board members. Whilst I agree that some are going over the top Id also argue some are getting swept away by empty promises and management jargon. Its not only what we hear from the board but what some of us here from other places (not just the media) We were promised transparacy and not had it in reality, likelyhood is we will lose our better players and just lost our manager, now perhaps it was a money decision but could of quite easily have been seen as the fact that he sees no real alternative. Then the players, barely 6 months ago speaking about ambition and a journey and recently now talking about how the 'hope' the board back us. January, when they came in was the first TW that we did no business in the Liebherr era despite the fact we were screaming out for reinforcements. I might be wrong, I genuinely hope I am and as Ive said before Ill stick my hand up and admit I was wrong in that case but I doubt it. As Ive said before, we were on the cusp of something a bit more IMO but we lacked the ambition to push for it. Sorry if Im ****ed off with that Edit - Im not sure Id want to spend time in the trenches with someone that couldnt see the wood for the trees either but there you go bud

They need one really, Vertonghan is a top player if he has someone next to him that just defends, cariches or whatever he is called isnt bad, probably needs another season. So 1 CB and a Striker for me and they are sorted. Cant see Adebayor or Soldado fitting in with Poch's tactics. He is a great fit for them if given time. Fair play to him IMO. If he fancies the pressure, realistically its better then staying and watching your team get torn apart.

They nibbled anyway. Ive not said they arent bigger by the way, they are, but they still have done reletively **** all. Newcastle have a massive fanbase but achieved little. For me a club is made not only by its resources but by success on the pitch. Im not a fan of Spurs fans as like WHU they keep wanging on about being a big club but with little to back it up. Realistically though they should be able to do well, unfortunately the same man who is providing their funds is also causing instability and in the scheme of things thats the problem.

There are some deluded ****wits about, how exactly have spurs made it so massive ? I agree they are bigger then us with more history but are far from massive, and far from as big as this tit believes. What have they done in the scheme of things ? In fact it wasnt long ago we were on the same level as them. Before our implosion. They have done well out of Levy and his wallet, but have never convinced me they'll ever effectively get anywhere mainly due to the attitude that they are better then they actually are. The only manager they recently gave time to had them finishing their best finish ever in the PL (HR) if they continue the manager merrygoround they'll go backwards. Very highly rated at Ajax and played for belgium at every level. He has (unsurprisingly due to Athleticos brilliant back 5) stalled a little, I think its worth testing their resolve and seeing if he fancies some playing time at a progressive club. Realistically he is probably right at the end of our reach but he seems the sort of player we aim for (similar to Lovren) in the respect that he has real talent but for whatever reason things arent going for them.

Pretty much similar to be honest. I think we will eventually miss NC, as much as he wasa tit its hard to argue with the legacy that he has left us. I disagree with some of the talk regarding why he has gone, think its more to do with the fact that KL and himself failed to agree with the next step... Rightly or wrongly I do t know. The new board, done nothing to impress me yet. Its still all too quiet, admittedly as before but we were sold on certain transparancies which I just dont think we are getting. Ive openly admitted that I dont trust they want to push on from where we are, or more importantly, they dont want to overly fund a progression. I may be wrong, I hope I am, but I dont think they really know what they want yet, and I think thats been transcended to MoPo and the players.

Id take a punt on Alderweireld, mercurial bench warmer at Athletico. Can play all along the baxk four and DM if he has to. Good ball playing defender, good age and pedigree.
