Well, Not managed to play it yet and already hate steam with a vengeance. It almost makes me want to get a cracked copy and not bother with it

This Though you can argue that Jose and AVB never had relevant playing experience but I would say the experience and studying that some of these sorts of coaches have put in is unbelievable.

Something I have been saying since 3rd game of the season. We conceded far too many from set pieces which says to me its not ALL down to personel, no they arent good enough but they are not an average of 3 goals a game bad. And TBH how Crosby can be an effective defensive coach when he has only been a coach 5 minutes and never played to that level ill never know.

I have said for a while its not the losing but the way we are losing now, we need to slow down this negative momentum, and as Turks said if we dont get a sizeable point haul from the next 8 games we are screwed. This isnt the champ though, you could easily look at every game and realise none are easy.

Seen him 13 times live, sensational. His early solo stuff was excellent, Stanley road and heavy soul etc but he seems to be trying to reinvent himself right now and Im really not a fan of some of his new stuff

I wouldnt worry about Docker-P he is onlyinterested in sticking the boot into Nicola at aby opportunity regardless of results, its a bit sad really.

It may have been a combination of a multitude of factors, we dont know where the blame lies, be it Reid, Adkins, Nicola, chief scout or just bad luck/targets not saying yes etc But I do agree, the transfer window as much as I was happy with clyne, J Rod, Gaston etc we were crying out for defenders and cocked it right up. We are now paying for it. BUT as happy as I was with signings, I did point out relying on youth in your first year in prem is utter madness.

Yeah I think we are about saying the same thing, you raise another point though... In the knowledge that Fox cant defend why play a player infront of him in what seems like a free role ? Dont get me wrong the boy has plenty of energy but just cannot defend for toffee, for instance that goal away to pompey last year was effectively his man ! Yeah, I agree somewhat with that. You can see what I was getting at though, personel wise we just arent at the races especially to come up with a positive solution. I agree Re Morgan, great player on the ball, great vision and energy, but who would anchor thr midfield ? I would argue that Corks is as toothless as Davis in the tackling department

True but right now you can only do what you can do, and change what you can change. For me thats Maya and not Jos and potentially TRY to sort out the LB position. We looked at CBs and LBs in the summer, for whatever reason it didnt happen, was it Adkins ? Reed ? Cortese ? We dont know, it could have been any of the above, I would have liked better options but would it have helped ? We dont know either. All I am saying is we could easily go out now and tap up some staff with A. Working knowledge of the prem and B. And decent defensive coaching background. Either that or try not to play so open in the knowledge our defence is so **** !! That said though we are getting hammered mainly down the wing or from set pieces.

Problem is nobody is and 2 upfront means less in the middle of the park. This team has attacking intent, plus possesses a decent possessional advantage if taken and also tge oppurtunity to lump it long to Rickie. The thing is Window, we are good enough full stop however we line up

Somehow I cant see how having the 3rd best defence in the league last year and just how horrific it is this year equates ? Im not having a pop, and they are not great, but surely to christ you can educate them better than they are playing atm. Look at some of our defending, its absolute basics !! Its not helped by the cavalier approach we take to games either because as a team we are not good enough defensively

No I would suggest poor defensive coaching and an insistance of Zonal marking were to blame here, perhaps along with a lack of a decent LB. All in all though I reckon a decent Defensive coach COULD organise these guys to be better than they are. Unfortunately as much as I love Adkins I agree with Alps here, and sorry to say it Turks, as much as I agree Reed and the crew obviously have a say in the way the club is run to say he has as much influence as he does (selection, tactics etc) is utter guff. The fact Adkins continually admits its his mistakes says this to me, he just doesnt seem to be the sort of bloke to gleefully admit to anothers mistakes. As for signings, in the whole they are ok, playing Maya and J Rod out of position doesnt help either though.

This Jay isnt a bad investment tbh, his price was steepish but I reckon he will turn out to be a decent player in the long haul. Ramirez I think was one of those that once we realised we could get him we went for it regardless of funds. I cant see how any of those two signings impacted on a CB or LB considering Adkins kept hinting we needed them, IMO we went for players here and it didnt happen for whatever reason.

If we have to lump it to Lambert than so be it. Must must must win this one.

Alternatively we lost games, not that the playersor manager wasnt good enough ? But obviously the conclusion is there is something seriously wrong at the club !?! Strange how Saints have gone through such a string of damaging backroom staff isnt it ?
